It was not original, alas.

You turn the doubling cube to next value and pass it to the other player before you roll the dice when you wish to give him the option of either losing the game on the spot or continuing it at a doubled stake.

The cube starts in the center with the 64 side up. After the first double to 2, it resides with the person who accepted it. On his turn thereafter, he may redouble and pass it back to you with the next value showing.

It is a cube with 2,4,8,16,32,64 on the faces.
