Still Alive

It's come to my attention that disappearing right after writing a blog post complaining about criminal activity and somebody mugging my apartment manager in the parking lot (or attempting to) probably wasn't the wisest of things. It makes people worry.

I'm still alive, just in a bit of a funk. And busy (or trying to be). Trying to figure out what to do with my time, my money, etc. Rather: how to miraculously stretch one into one hundred or so (I bet we all wish that were possible!)

I'm also still stressing the "what will my next vehicle be?" thing. My recent experience on a car lot was rather stressful. Apparently they don't want to see you unless you have millions and willing to throw money down right then and there. I HATE feeling pressured, and pushing a Taurus around doesn't really get the desired results. I need to test drive vehicles. Lots of vehicles. To figure out what is comfortable and feels right for ME. That said I DO love my brother's new Ford F-250. Or whatever he got... all I know is it's Ford, it's white, extended cab, and VERY comfy. Way to big for me though.

Glad you're still around. In less than a week I'm back in ballet and jazz dance classes. Nearly quit though due to a persistent knee pain but it seems yoga has now fixed it.

Can you believe that I was asked today by a local school district to apply for a job coaching cheerleaders? Apparently my dance background was enough for them to think I might qualify. The cheer coach at this school got fired a week ago for sponsoring something on campus called "gangsta day". Nobody explained to me exactly what that was but somehow it was enough to get three sports coaches fired from the school. Including the cheer coach.

I don't think I'll get that job but am honored that someone put my name out there as someone who could potentially fill those shoes.

Hey there, sexy Glad you're still around too! Long time no see.

Do you know what was wrong with your knee? After a number of months of intense workouts my knees started creaking. Bad They're a bit better as I took a break from that particular gym but they still make noise. I've never really gotten into yoga. May have to try it.

Did "Gangsta Day" actually happen? Or did they get fired before it all went down? I can just see some overly creative kids bringing guns to school. Fake or otherwise would still have the administration throwing fits.

It *IS* a great feeling, knowing that people really want you Whether you're interested or not.

I've been reading your blog a while, but now that you're talking transportation, it comes out. Size matters! So, how bout a Hummer?
When I was in grade school, the dad of one of my friends belonged to the local National Guard unit. It was an armored outfit- my uncle was the Captain. One night this father got tanked- literally. He was drunk. He owned a lot on a nearby lake. There was no road back to his cottage on the lake. So, he fired up a WWII Sherman tank, drove it down the concrete state highway to the lake, and made his own goddamn road. The guard decided that they could dispense with his services thereafter, but he had his road!
So, how bout a tank? You could always get it painted white.

haha... that was suggested and I did look them up. Sadly the gas mileage leaves a lot to be desired

Size and Performance matters

I'm glad you're alive and kicking. And yes, unless you're ready to buy, they will not look at you! Hang in there, things will get better.

I will figure out a way. lol. Mostly I think I need to stick to the 100% used car lots. They seem to be more laid back.

Helpful advice for car shopping, bring a guy with you!
Let the guy talk to the sales folks and YOU have fun test driving

I don't know if many guys would want to run interference while I test drive multiple cars

It takes a little longer for me to worry. One gets busy with life and all. But after a few weeks, the worry will set in.
F250 is a big one. I drive a F150. At times, I wish for a smaller car. Smaller cars are cheaper. I don't like shopping for a car, too.

Cum to my blog and respond. Have a great kissing fun time.

I saw a nice F150 with a canopy for sale, but one of 5 mechanics that I know has already said "NO FORDS!!!!!!!" ... figure I will run the idea past the other mechanics I know and see if they're as adamant against them too. The one I saw is probably gone already, but it looked nice and would fit my requirements (except maybe the gas mileage)

I got my last car from a rental company. I've heard that's a good way to be fairly sure the car has been well maintained. I had no trouble with the one I bought.

Nice! I've heard of that before too. You can often get a good, clean car with fairly low mileage as I've heard.

The knee pain started doing very simple stuff last May. I don't even try the really difficult maneuvers because I've seen too many people have to give up dance from doing them.

My pain is still kind of there but doing full lotus ( yoga ) pose on both sides for awhile every day has had the best effect on it. It's pretty much just in the right knee on the inner side of it.
