Another rant. Haven't done these in awhile :P

The husband is off. He's traveling again (I question the necessity of it, really) but it was an urgent matter and so he's off. The downside of that is, he's probably gonna be gone for over a month, taking into consideration the 2-week self quarantine on both sides. The bright side is, though, we're making concrete plans to head back to Bali. We were talking about IF we're quarantining ourselves, might as well do it back home. But this is also dependant on so many things. Ah well. Back to the blog

Did you know you can't wear a swimsuit in a park in Singapore? Right before the husband left, we went to a park here one afternoon. It was a weekday too, so not many people around. We got to a quiet spot, laid out our beach towels and laid under the sun. I wore a bikini under my shorts and tank top, and took them off while we were lazing in the sun. It didn't take long before one of the park people (I don't know what you call them. Park rangers? Seems a lil silly to call them that. But anyhoo) came by and told us, well, me that I can't do that. As in be in my swimwear in a park. And for the record, we even had our masks on when they came towards us. But anyway. So yeah, I don't know for a fact if that's an actual law, but I'm also not surprised if it was. I just thought it was a strange one. We packed and left shortly after, but I had put my clothes back . It was silly. It wasn't even a thong bikini or a sheer one. But WTF. Didn't want get into it with them.

There were a few more things I wanted to bitch about, but let's keep it light for the weekend eh?

Didn't want get into it with them.

Good decision. You don't want to get into it with them

I hope the wearing of masks is still enforced on nudist beaches.

Yeah. Singapore is a Fine City, as the t-shirts say Hahaha

I'm in a similar situation to you. My wife is thinking of going back to Indonesia to pack up our apartment, but that means quarantine there and then self-paid quarantine back here in a hotel upon return.

About ten years ago, I was in the Bahamas on business. Sounds rough, right? Actually, it was, even if business at a beach might sound luxurious.

Anyway, we got an unexpected hour or so of down time during a break from the business, and everyone decided to go for a swim. But I didn't have a swimsuit. However, it just so happened that I was wearing some black underpants that could pass for a Speedo if no one looked too closely.

So what does my business partner do? Announces to everyone that I'm wearing underpants, not a swimsuit.

Oh well, I went for the swim anyway. It was one of the few moments of non-stress I had on the trip.

I wonder whether you could resolve certain needs during self-quarantine by improvising some kind of water-resistant mask, and taking care of your needs and his in the shower.

What is your native country? It seems like Singapore has been home for as long as I've been reading your blog, but I don't think you've said whether you're originally from there.

Not even a swimsuit? That's crazy.
