The White T Shirt Effect

Do you wear, or have you in the past, worn a tight white T-shirt, knowing it made you look sexy?

I am stuck at my desk after pulling a muscle when out on a run earlier in the week. I had to limp home, and today find myself shuffling round the house like an old man. I don't feel very sexy.

But something I saw on TV reminded me of a phenomenon I don't fully understand, and I would be interested to hear your views. In England particularly, intelligent women of the kind I usually find attractive tend not to wear the tight white T-shirt. I'm not completely sure why, but I have heard women suggest that it is somehow not very classy. (I'm not sure the same really applies elsewhere in the world though, although a male equivalent might be the Bruce Springsteen style singlet.)

But despite the fact that I might therefore be prejudiced against someone I met who was wearing that look, there is no question I find the tight white T-shirt very sexy in a sort of forbidden fruit kind of way. Okay, other colours are attractive too. Maybe it is just that it accentuates the right curves. Maybe it subliminally suggests a sexual awareness.

But whatever it is, I would like to see you in a tight white T-shirt. That would go some way towards making me forget my calf strain!

I may have done that long long ago when I was in triathloning shape. Once I developed a belly roll, it was no longer in rotation - not because I think it's unclassy, just unflattering.

Am with smarty. I don’t like people seeing my muffin top through a tight white T.
Now, I do have some loose fitting white tees that I wear around the house. Just knowing that I’m about to spill something on them.

Have a great day! 💋

White just shows everything, including one's bra if they're wearing one. It has nothing to do with being classy, for me personally, or even tight. Cuz this old lady wears some tight clothes at times.

Besides, I never buy white for any clothing. I'm not a clean eater, cook, nada. Everything and I mean everything ends up on my clothing somehow.

This week's HNW: Pink/Hearts (Or Chocolate) is available on the other side.

I used to wear tight T-shirts but no longer as it wouldn't be a look-good now!

It seems my thoughts are similar to others. I don't wear white because nothing I wear stays white. And tight white doesn't flatter my muffin top anyway. But that doesn't mean for the right somebody I wouldn't be willing to wear a tight white tshirt if that somebody appreciated it...

The shadow lines that stand out on a white T-shirt Is what makes it all happen. You don't get those on most other colors. Therefore, you won't catch me wearing one, Tooo many lines.

I know what you mean about white and eating! Happens to me all the time, especially when something is just clean on a few minutes before! I never wear white either!

There definitely is a consensus!

Hmmmm, you mean like a kind of fetish request? That's sexy in itself!

Oh yes! When I was a teenager I used to have a girlfriend who always wore her father's white business shirts, a great look!

Thanks Jules - already walking okay, but no running for another week I think.

Meanwhile....Noooooo! Sexy is sexy, here or over there. Nothing unsexy about being classy, or vice versa, and I'm not too concerned with the time and place either! And there's nothing unsexy in not being classy either, in my book, it's just that I wouldn't expect to be attracted by a woman who lac ked intellect, even on a superficial level, although it can happen of course.

I think you are right, a bio more sheer, accentuates the right curves, and as oldbstrd55 pointed out, the shadow lines might stand out more. But I wonder if for me it is more a mental thing: she's wearing a white T-shirt - she must know that turns me on!

DREAMER!!!!!!! You are still here! <3
I can't believe they haven't upgraded the text editor since I left....... how many years ago? So wonderful to see you still blogging.

And to answer your question....... if I want to be sexy, and maybe a bit slutty, yes I will wear a tight white tee shirt or tank top. For you, I'd wear it without a bra.

XOXO ~ Chick
