Realizing suddenly....damn...you're old

I ran into an old customer of mine the other night and he told me he and his wife had moved from one end of town to the other to one of those 55 + communities. I laughed and teased him, telling him they werent old enough to live there. Well, damned if I didnt get home that night and find an invite from one of THOSE places, wanting me to take up residency there (assuming I had enough to qualify, which i DON'T). All I could think of was FUCK ...... I'll be old enough to live there after this next birthday.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

And then tonight on my way home, random thoughts turned to an old Christmas I found the other , from a guy I used to sleep with in college. I did the math and FUCK again ...... how could it possibly be 35 yrs ? Holy crap

 OMG! Exactly what I'm feeling....in my head I'm still 27 but when I try to do the things I did then well.....doesn't always end well. I keep my humor and still have fun every chance I get. The worst of it is the new aches every year. Keep doing what you do and screw "those" places!

 I saw this post of yours when commenting and checking your blog. I've been getting mail and solitations for retirement places for years! I didn't think that when I received the first one, nor do I now think now, that I am old, but I guess I am! Don't get me started on the viagra messages and solitations! Not yet, at least for now! lol

 Those moments when you think "That wasn't so long ago." then do the math and get slapped with the thought that I can't be that old! Maybe arithmetic is overrated.
