Back again I took another trip home... I think Colorado will always be home to me but who knows... I am becoming quite comfortable in Kansas  So anyway, I went back home and as things do, my plans changed... I originally was going out on Feb 14- 16th for a few reasons. #1 of course was to see my honey and my bestie. While making these plans a few things happened... My honey's sister got sick and he had to fly out of town to be with her. Yes I was disappointed but hey its family! I spoke with my bestie and she and her "friend" had made no plans for V-day so I told her I would be her date. Lucky girl right! Well as it turned out she got sick with a nasty chest cold  But all is not lost lol. I wound up spending it with an old b/f/friend. We went through some trials and came out of it a little battered and bruised but unscathed. We are now good friends and I can talk to him about anything; which is exactly what I did lol! Prior to stopping over at his place, I went to the local wally world to pick up a few things I forgot to pack. While there I got a text from boy toy. (he was supposed to have V day plans too hahaha) "Are you in town?" "Yes just got in." "I want you" (I'm thinking wtf? Now??) I text... "when? I haven't even checked in yet." "I will be home in an hour, I will let you know when I am there." "OK" Wow that was a surprise for sure! This is the same fuck that unceremoniously dumped me in Oct! Of course I did see him in Dec, hey a good fuck is a good fuck right? Later on I went to my friend's house and spent a quiet evening at his new place and relaxed. Since my b/f was going to be out of town we decided to go out for dinner the next night to celebrate my birthday and his. More on this later... Although he offered to let me stay at his place in his new bed, I declined. After all I had a room I was paying for! The next morning bright and early I got up. Fuck sleep is so over rated! I received a call from my friend wishing me a happy birthday and he invited me over for lunch. I got ready and headed over with my clothes for the evenings festivities. His daughter was home and we spent time together. She is 8 and I have known her for 3 yrs. We have developed quite a strong bond considering I am one of the few constant females in her life. I forgot to mention my friend is a widower, his wife passed when his daughter was 18 mos old and he has had women in and out since then. ( he is great guy and do hope he finds Miss right!). While there I get a text from boy toy, "I don't know if tonight is going to work." "OK just let me know." (what I neglected to tell him was I didn't give a damn if it did, I got what I wanted and was now spending time with J and K) We were getting ready to go out when I got a text from my b/f... "Are you in town or did you stay home?" "I came to town." "Good I will be home around 7 or 8, I got an early flight in." "Ok let me know when you are home and we can get together." What he didn't now was I was smiling ear to ear, almost in tears! I so missed him and was deeply disappointed when I thought I wouldn't see him this time around. Now two things happened during my dinner date that I found amusing and surprising. The first was my friend's daughter K was eyeballing my shoes. "Your shoes are pretty! I really like them!" "Well thank you! Perhaps with daddy's permission I can take you shoe shopping when I come back." Daddy (J) looks at me and laughs. "Of course she can!" The whole night this little girl was eyeing my shoes, almost as if she could drop a house on me and steal my shoes she would! The second was he knew I had to pick up b/f at a certain time. At one point during dinner he said to me you know its 6, you have to go get b/f soon." I was genuinely surprised at this comment. I advised him I would leave when necessary. He was not trying to get rid of me but was didn't want me to be late. As it turned out his flight was delayed and I had to wait even longer. Boy toy text me to let me know he was available so we had yet another romp! Fun stuff! Only one issue... I had a king size bed and well I kinda soaked the sheets, and bedspread... Called housekeeping had them change the sheets and off I went to get b/f. When I did finally go to pick up b/f it took everything I had to not speed down the highway to get to him sooner! Our reunion was great to say the least and I once again realized how safe and comfortable I feel with him. Fast forward to my leaving... Again he didn't want to get out of the car, because this would mean us separating. After about an hour or so he finally relented. I was about an hour and a half out of town and I sent him a text... "This sux, I'm not even an hour and half out and I already miss you. ""I miss you too, started the minute you pulled away..." So what did I do... Sent a text... "Fuck it I'm turning around, and booking a room for the night." "Awesome! Can't wait to see you!" Yup... I acted like an irresponsible teenager. I called out of work for the next day and went back to spend another amazing night with him. Could this be the start of a LTR? Am I falling for him? SHUTTER!!! IDK but I do know I like how I feel when I am with him. We have a year and half before I may move back to Colorado so we have plenty of time to determine. A lot of road trips in between! |
