DESPERATELY seeking word definitions
DESPERATELY seeking word definitions It is our differences that keep things interesting, correct? Men and women view the world differently... THANK GODDESS!!! Would you not agree that the world would be quite boring if we all were the same? Same likes, dislikes, needs, views, opinions etc? If we were all as one it would make communication almost completely unnecessary. But we are not as one, which makes communication vital for our survival. Sorceror07 and I were laying in bed last night, happily wrapped in each other's arms when he asked me a question I could barely answer. Had it not been a spontaneous question, I would not have struggled. But this one required some serious contemplation on my part. "What do you consider to be romantic?" Sounds simple enough, right? WRONG! That one takes some thought...at least for me! Which got me thinking about how many of us must be on different wave lengths about such things... So, if we take the time to really THINK about it and define these words, we might gain an ounce of insight and understanding ROMANTIC: PASSION: Just these two words, I didn't want to over do it! hehehe! Anything will do... a definition... a gesture... words... actions... Whatever appeals to YOU I'll go first! |

I'm not sure I can define "romantic." I'd need more experience. Come into my realm! You aren't afraid...are you?

this might make more sense if i took a while to compose it, but off the top of my head - here goes. feeling, acting and being romantic is to do things for someone that makes them feel good and shows them they are important to you without having to have sex or use sex to express it. holding hands, a long hug, kissing her on the top of her head or her forehead or cheek, a phone call just to say hello, an occasional greeting card in the mail, roses (red AND yellow, of course) for no reason, cooking for her, her favorite candy bar, etc... feeling passionate with someone? you have great sex, you both care about each others pleasure, but you know both know that just as important as the sex is the holding hands, the kiss on the top of the head or forehead of cheek, the phone call just to say hello, the occasional greeting card in the mail, the roses, the cooking for her, the favorite candy bar, etc... "well only get through this if we work together. if we dont, none of us will"

ROMANTIC: For me it is being spontaneous, such as being surprised with flowers or a gift for no reason. Long, deep looks into my eyes. Lovingly pampering me by giving me a bubble bath, washing my hair, massaging me, all the while forgetting about the pressures of the world outside. Feeding me chocolates or fruit. A deep kiss like you see in the movies.....I could go on but I think you get the point! PASSION: This is easy...any of the above! Gestures or words that show that those feelings are still fresh, new and exciting. That I'm still wanted as much now as in the beginning Damn! I'm a lucky girl!!!!
