Some people just don't understand sarcasm....
Some people just don't understand sarcasm.... I'm having the biggest laugh right now because after a few weeks of emails back and forth with someone my age that lives pretty much 2500 miles away I was having my typical flirtatious Friday sarcasm in full force... I sent an email in the mix of 6-7 for the night that teased about him missing the flirtatiousness of the banter because he sat out in the sun a little too long and he blocked me... OMG some people just don't understand sarcasm... with or without flirtation I guess... oh well, he just doesn't know how to have some good ole fashion fun... poor thing... |

Even if there was a sarcasm font, some people Just Wouldn't Get It.

What! Are you threatening me?

I've run across so many people that don't get it.

There are too many people out there that get butt hurt too damn easy. I love the idea of a "sarcasm" font and emoji! They still wouldn't get it like Pagan said. I think it's a special gene we get.. ha! Rachel Mae

Oh I so agree, there needs to be a sarcasm emoji

Sarcasm doesn't translate well via text. Nobody knows the current mood of a person when choosing to send sarcasm. However, many understand there is truth behind sarcasm. So that makes the delivery worse , when you can't even the sense the sender.

hey if I've been joking with someone for weeks and they joke back a few times then you should be able to pick up on my sarcasm... it's not rocket science... but to get totally butt-hurt is comical... but I needed that laugh after a bad week so it's all good... sarcasm emoji... absolutely... I'll even pay each time I use it like royalties

too many uptight people... I think the only cure is sex... more sex... and lots more sex... and a sarcasm emoji

with online IM'ing and messaging much is lost on subtle tones. while during actual face to face communication, facial expressions, vocal tones often give away meanings that are lost with the typed wording of a message. i think some of the difficulty of online communication is getting the other person to understand exactly the emotion or message being sent. we all have to try harder here on line to actually get a connection.

I agree... the cure is sex... more sex... and the sarcasm emoji is brilliant...
