A wacky idea: Salad Frosting

While browsing the news today I came across one of the wackiest ideas yet...

Since kids tend to eat anything with the word "frosted" or "frosting", why not get them to frost salads in an attempt to get them to eat healthier foods?

Thus have the marketers at the Kraft division of Kraft Heinz repackaged ranch dressing in kids squeeze tubes and called it Salad "Frosting" (the quotes are in the name as pictured).

Eating salads is good, but not when they're frosted with fat-laden salad dressings.

Definitely a wacky idea.

Thoughts?

(Because of the squeeze tube package, this can also be great for those of us adults who use food in sex play, such as carrots and cucumbers. )

That doesn't even sound good, the lighter the dressing the better I think. Of course if its ranch dressing then I use a little more..thanks for sharing this as I hadn't heard of this before..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

That's good to hear.

So what do you think of the idea?

Thoughts? ....Would probably work, but that would only be pushing , "Eat junk and sugar"... So the target market would people who have no concept of health, and many of these people would already be fat , obese porkers.... I think it's time to bring back fat-shaming.

Considering the push to take sugar out of cereal names years ago, this seems like the exact opposite intention.

And fat-shaming is still around. Look at all the flak Sports Illustrated got for having a normally proportioned (e.g. not starved and skinny) swimsuit model!

In Canada, those fuckers at Kellogg's deleted the word 'Frosted' from Frosted Mini Wheats, claiming 'whole wheat goodness with a touch of sweet'.
Icing sugar is the 2nd listed ingredient.

Kellogg's only offers frosted mini wheats in this market, unlike the USA where you can get the healthier unfrosted variety.

Getting back to the salad frosting, why not use real frosting?

Are the "frostings" fat free?

Not as far as I know; it's just their regular ranch dressing repackaged.

They're trying to get kids to eat more salads, but not more sugar. So they replace the sugar with salt and fat.

I'm still peeved at Kellogg's for getting rid of the Sugar from my Sugar Frosted Flakes and Sugar Smacks and Post for turning Sugar Crisp into Super Golden Crisp (but the mascot is still called Sugar Bear).

One good bit of news: Big G still sells Frosty-O's. They just call them what they were all along: Frosted Cheerios.
