Are You Living Your Dreams or Living Your Fears?

Are You Living Your Dreams or Living Your Fears?

Many people are not doing what they want t.o. do, they're doing the things they're afraid not t.o, do.

Think about i.t . We fear the consequences of failure. We think about how others will react t.o. our failure. The best way t.o. guarantee that you will not fail is t.o. not try.

Living your dreams can be risky. There's always the possibility of failure. But, there's, also the possibility of success, right?

You can achieve anything that you desire in life if you are willing t.o. do what i.t. takes t.o. achieve i.t.

Tony Robbins puts i.t. this way, “The thing that’s keeping you from getting what you want is the story you keep telling yourself.”

If you want to live the life of your dreams you need to focus on the present, keep your eyes on the future, and leave the past behind.

Are you living your dreams? Do you consider yourself successful?

To me, the definition of success is very personal and not measured in dollars and cents. I know I can look myself in the mirror and say, I have done the best that I can by tackling every obstacle and challenge, head-on.

if you try there is a 50% chance you will fail
if you do not try here is a 100% chance you will fail

there is a world of difference between insanity and stupidity

Great post. I am neither rich or famous, nor do I care to be. My tag line for years has been "Living my dream." I've been truly blessed to be able to live my life the way I feel is right for me rather than trying to live a life others think I should live.

The beauty and terror of technology (especially social media) is that we can (and all too often do) live our entire lives in *real time*. We spend every bit of our waking hours absorbing, processing and reacting to a relentless bombardment of information. As a result, few of us even bother to *dream big* any more. Fixated on our screens, we squander the physical, intellectual and emotion resources necessary to build and follow through with our ambitions.

So what to do? Personally, I have reduced social media time by over 50% (primarily by no longer opening either Facebook or Instagram), focusing instead on setting and implementing personal near-term and long-term goals. One (marginally) positive consequence of the Pandemic for me has been reduced travel and social interaction, thus freeing-up even more time for introspection and personal development.

If we can force ourselves to take a few steps down the proverbial *journey of 1,000 miles* we often surprise ourselves at how diligently we stay the course.

My dreams were ruined when I married my first husband, I will never get to do what I always wanted to do now. But life is what it is and we just have to make the best of it as we can. I know I have a dream that I hope will be coming true very soon. I hope you enjoy your evening..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

This is a fantastic post, I sometimes wonder about that too.
I don't believe I will become rich and or famous, and I'm okay with that, there are too many naked pics of me out there. But seriously, I do feel that I've accomplished many of the things I set out to do. I also plan on doing more, and there's no reason why I can't do them.

Living my dream most of the time. There are always potholes and speed bumps in life. And sometimes one does have to do some things they don't necessarily want to do but they do it so they can do what they want. I expect that I will never accomplish everything I dream of because I firmly believe that I should always have 10 items on my bucket list and when I do accomplish one, I add one. I wouldn't trade my life with anyone

Good post am I 100% there no I'm not and I know it's my fault. There are things that I will attempt to change but right now I can't until I get back to work.

I think that being successful is more about being happy with oneself, having enough to eat good health and the ability to adapt to the daily challenge of life. If I were successful in monetary terms I am sure I would be very unhappy and a slave to outside influences but I do enjoy the personal challenges that i set for myself.

For many, there have been positive benefits of the lockdown including re-examing priorities. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your articulate perspective.

I agree habits built up over a lifetime can be difficult to break. Self-awareness is a huge step in making it possible. Thank you for stopping by and sharing your perspective.
