Lest We Forget

Today and every day, may we always remember....

Those who have served and those who are serving.

Those who have sacrificed.

And those who stand on guard for us.

This is entirely my opinion. This year, don’t thank us. It makes me and many veterans terribly uncomfortable. How does one respond to such a statement, especially without sounding pompous or entitled? "You are welcome, good sir/ma'am!" No. It's weird.

The sacrifice of veterans is too great to be brushed off by a thank you on a single day of the year. So don't do that.

Don't thank us for our service. Be an American worthy of that service. Do that, and I promise, this entire country will be better for it.

This is such a special day as it reminds us of how much our Freedom means to all of us, and how we remember all who served and still are serving. Happy Veterans Day my friend..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

As an American veteran, your perspective is different.
I did make it clear however, that thanking those who have served and those who continue to serve should not be limited to a single day. All countries should never forget those have served.

Yes, it certainly does. Whenever possible, I make sure to watch the service from Ottawa, our nation’s capital. The tears start to flow as soon as I hear the first few notes of Taps.
