Roman dodecahedron, There is a mystery about the purpose of these strange objects with holes and buttons and twelve sides made of bronze. They are found in France, Germany and England from Roman sites. Made about 200 to 400 AD. Many guesses, but no one has a good explanation. Roman dodecahedron is the name , but what is the game? So my speculation. The Romans were known for perverted sexual behavior and extreme sex antics. How could this item be a sex toy? The different sized open holes could be used by men or various animals to stick their penis in and meet in the open center. The buttons on the outside could stimulate females on their nipples or clits. Or maybe the button goosed their bottoms? No wonder no instructions on the way to use them were published or discussed.... Now we need to get one from a museum and hold a party or orgy to try out this theory and see if it works. |
