With all of our daily interactions, it seems more and more that there seems to be annoying people coming out of the wood work . I think that in the past there was less of it since most of our interactions were in person. That mad most think twice about what they said or did. Now that we have computers, smart phones and social media folks seem to have lost that common sense filter that kept things fairly smooth in the past. Have you noticed more annoying behavior? Rudeness, belligerence or lack of courtesy? And be honest, have you accidently or on purpose become more rude than in the past?

I will admit that in the past, I was less than subtle when giving directions . I have out grown that phase [image]

I'm not sure that people are ruder. It could simply be we have a wider access to the ones that already existed. As for me, politeness was taught at a very young age and is so ingrained that I am rarely rude ..... even online.

Sometimes it seems like a lot, but I starting to believe it is only this way because we have more access to communications

I sure have Pal. Going out to dinner people are on their cell phones more. Not interested in chatting with the person they are with. Your comments are so true. Hugs V

I've been guilty of it in the past.

Any time you have an anonymous social community anyone can join you will always find a few stupid people who will try to screw it up. Back in the '70s I was part of the first faceybook and had friends all across the country. We had a great group that would chat regularly about anything and everything. Over time we had a small group jump in with more powerful equipment that would trash talk over the top of everyone, ruining the fun for all of us. To quote one of my favorite fictional characters, "stupid is as stupid does" and you can't fix stupid (unless you can get your fingers around their neck for a minute or two).

I think the anonymity of the internet has allowed people to forget their manners. It's sad that they can't treat people the same in person or on the internet.
