I watched the roundy de round racing before it was NASCAR back in the 60's! My favorite driver of all time was Fireball Roberts, actually got his nickname as a pro baseball player. A rookie driver once asked him for advice, Fireball said, Stand on it and turn left!!!! I raced motorcycles in high school and did some drag racing in the 60s and 70s! Still watch some on TV, For me there is too much electronics involved in all of it now. I enjoyed it when u just tweaked it a little, added some flat washers on this corner added a little aviation fuel out of the coffee thermos, run by the seat of ur pants....... One thing I learned in racing, "If you look back, you slow down" It works in life also!

Do you remember the OPEC embargo and the Energy Crisis of the 70s? I suggested to people then that car racing should be eliminated. I was nearly burned at the stake! It makes even more sense now that it should be banned. Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

Go watch Ford vs. Ferrari. Great movie and true story about the adrenalin and need for speed!!!

It's definitely an exciting sport to watch, I used to be into Nascar growing up but not so much anymore. I hope you have a terrific day.. Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..
