"Lost Words"
This is the first poem I've ever written and my first blog entry so please be gentle.I welcome all comments so please let me know what you think

"Lost Words"

Your words
Fill the empty spaces
In my mind
They chime
And resonate
Like the sound
Of the sweetest bell
A violin string
Vibrating
To create
A music masterpiece
And my heart sings
Hallelujah..

But soon
Those words
Are lost
To me
Forgotten
By you
Shared
With someone else
And like Autumn's
Brightly colored leaves
Flutter away
In a cold wind
Leaving only
The barren soil
And the empty spaces
Return

 Hi Sasha! I've always been a fan of the more traditional poetry.... like the kind one could make into a song, ... rhyme, miter, liter, and all of that happy stuff! But this first poem really does paint a vivid picture, and is very poignant, with a strong hint of loneliness! It makes one desire to call you, or see you in person, just to say the nice things that you were used to hearing. Hope I didn't overdo it here, but I'm a poet and musician, so what do you expect!
