The Brassiere

The Brassiere I have a thing for bra's and panties. I have never counted my panties, but for bra's I know I have enough to go over 2 months without wearing the same one twice (after hand washing of course). As I got in my latest purchase I pondered at the complexity of getting in and out of some while trying to appear seductive. Some I think are clearly meant to remain on during sex. I also just purchased my first bustier and again I have to assume it is meant to stay on, or I will need help removing it while still trying to remain sensual. I have to say I am thinking I need a few more bustier/corsets.  I did some research on bra's as I pondered my collection and found some interesting tidbits. Contrary to popular belief of many teenage boys Otto Titzling (pronounced tit sling) was indeed not the inventor of the brassiere although he did challenge for the patent. And it wasn't until the 1930's that they figured out that the pendulousness of women's breast varied from woman to woman and came up with different cup sizes.  I think because of the field of work I am in, knowing that underneath I am still wearing something that is all woman gives me a little thrill and one of the reason's I have a fetish for bra's and panties. As well given my cup size I think investing in quality is important to a healthy back....  . |

I have a thing for bra's I do too and as it turns out the women in them.  As well given my cup size I think investing in quality is important to a healthy back. That's a lot of lace and cotton but I'm not complaining. Every woman should have a outlet for her inner goddess and bras and panties are your outlet. Although you don't get the full effect with them just sitting on the ground. They were built for tantalizing and accentuating. I would love to see them the way they were meant to be seen. The original intention of supporting breast dates back before the 14th century but 1900s patent office disputes really mean nothing since an 1880 advertisement depicted the first of what eventually became the brassiere. In modern day, there are thousands of patents and women have been brainwashed into following trends created by marketers and propagated by media. Review the broader range of styles and patents and conceptually you'll find most mimic the natural shape of a woman's breast. The problem is, a womans' breast are pretty much as unique as their kitty's. So outside of the 1970 styles (including the then popular slip) that allowed the Brassiere to cradle the natural shape of her breast, most are trying to mold them into a less natural shape. Inasmuch, I hold to the "no bra in the house" rule!   even siding with an outside the house argument too!

btw: "pendulousness" ? That's a big word for the small minds that frequent this site But I'd really be interested in a study of hang time (as they say) to weightiness of walk in relation to age. There was a reason why women learned to walk with grace in the old time finishing schools that provided young women with training in the social graces. I put that right next to how tribal cultures would intentionally shape their babies necks and sculls. Where it resides next to some modern day jeans that should never be worn.

I always thought it was a French sadist named Brassiere... As far as comfort goes...There is no substitute for quality...Way back in the day...Frederick's of Hollywood was supposed to be "The cat's pajamas"...In reality their stuff was tawdry and cheaply made...Your collection looks fab...If you wish to "model" for us...Well...I'd appreciate it...

Imagine if they had been called "tit slings".   Suppose that's better than the German word for bra - stoppenfloppen!  Quite a collection. Do you store them by age, or colour, or purpose - do you have comfy ones, ones that give more support than others, dressy ones, ones you'd wear on a night out, ones you'd wear on a night in?
