Yes, I did...

Yes, I did...

Remember last week, when I posted that I was going to see one of my celebrity crushes? Most people on this site are talk and bark... no bite!!!

Well, I did go see Molly Ringwald... she was performing at the McKinney Performing Arts center... I've driven by the McKinney courthouse many times while eating at the Spoons restaurant and shopping for books and what not, but I didn't know that they had converted the top floor of the courthouse to a theater venue...

That was so cool and intimate... It only seats about 500 people so, every seat was a good seat... It was raining Saturday, so I got there early about 7:30 PM. I didn't know what to expect as most people that I had told kind of rolled their eyes at me when I told them I was going to see the star of 'The Breakfast Club'; 'Pretty in Pink'; '16 Candles'; 'Pickup Artist'... Plus, she's published a book and is now a jazz singer with a real band...

My seat was 'row C, seat 7'... which put me very close to Molly.... For moments during the concert I believed that she was singing only to me (you all know how I reference song quotes most of the time when I post on your blogs). But, then I would pinch myself and realize that there was a crowd of other people...

I came prepared as I purchased her book 'Getting the pretty back' hoping that there might be an autograph session at the end... and, to my surprise, there was... However, she only signed copies of her cd... so, I had to buy a cd... but, still, there I was listening to a movie star, author, singer belt out songs with a four person jazz band: 'bass', 'piano', 'saxophone' and 'drummer'. The songs were wonderfully arranged, some oldies some not so old... and she sang a French song too... I had a great time... took some videos and even a selfie while she was signing my cd...

So, yes, I did... I stopped to smell the roses and they smelled pretty good...

Now, have any of you ever gone out and seen your celebrity crushes... or do you just talk about it????

Inquiring minds would like to know...

thanks, in advance...

I've traveled all over the world following Tiesto. If you are unfamiliar with him, Please look him up, because you are missing a treat!! I believe I've seen him 14 times now, including Venice, Italy, Houston, Las Vegas, Dallas, Miami, Belgium, Los Angeles. I really enjoy his music (especially older work) So, to answer your question, YES (I follow other artists in similar fashion, but Tiesto I have seen the most)
Hi Megan...

thanks for sharing your musical interests with me. I will look up Tiesto and listen to some songs... You might recommend some as sometimes the ones I pick may be popular but, not intriguing to me... For instance, I love two songs from Daft Punk: 'Within' and 'Something about us'... the rest, not so much...

Wow, I'm impressed that you saw him in Venice. That is so cool that you have seen him 14 times... The most I've seen a band is twice: 'Colplay'; 'Civil Twilight'.

That is really neat...

Thanks, again for sharing!!!

I'm glad that you went and saw your crush. Even more pleased for you that you got an autographed CD and pic. Good for you.

Think the most times that I've went to see the same artist was 3. Seems like such a long time ago.

Now Rocky Horror Picture Show, I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen it. Tim Curry's facial expressions are fantastic.

Thanks 2tt...

I'm glad you brought up 'The Rocky Horror Picture show'... I saw one of my crushes from long ago in that movie... Susan Sarandon was just a young girl... I was mesmerized with her... And, I become more amazed at her acting career as she has chosen some wonderful roles... 'Jeff, who lives at home'; 'Bull Durham'; 'Thelma & Louise'... hmmmmmmm...

thanks again, for the post!!!

Thanks for the response LLL...

I do find it hard to believe that you don't have a celebrity crush... Surely, Robert Redford or Paul Newman or Justin Beiber have had to cause some sort of stir??? hmmmm???

Well, maybe not...

I hope you are having a great Easter weekend!!!

I am!!!

thanks again!

Hi turtlelynn...

thanks for the nice comment...

I do follow my heart... And, if I say I am going to do something, consider it done (for the most part)...

Have a great sunday!

sold out phantom on broadway, scored 2 comps, late as, ushered to 5th row center...empty...for about 5 minutes, a bald dude n a bald chick sit next to us brought in by a couple bigger type of biggass felllas on either end all somber-like n blending in.

nobody in the full house besides 5th row was watching the show but for some reason i felt 1000 eyes on the back of my head.

my girls grip on my arm was reminding me ever more of a certain pit bull named dimmy, but holding a lighter under her balls to release, before intermission, would not be a workaround as she had no balls and i had no lighter.

demi would know what to do - and j.i. jane had heaps o balls but that no goodnik bruce was between us...

show was good.

    MEATLOAF!
thanks again for the post rockingfuckstars.

I've only seen "Rocky Horror" a few times... once at a theater...

but, I did fall in love with Susan Sarandon... the first time I laid eyes on her...

for the longest time she was in my sliding top 30.

enjoy your week!
