How I remember your touch... those soft lips... I just sighed thinking of those intimate moments we shared... We were like a fairy tale... everything was so perfect... the way we fell asleep after making passionate love... we'd be covered in each other's sweat... moving to a rhythm that made sense to us... time seemed 2 just linger... not a care in the world... Our first time... we had gone 2 Lake Ray Hubbard... My Mustang, a sleek 1965 blue straight six... bucket seats... 8-track player blasting our fave songs... We found a place by a creek that fed into the lake... there were many... but, this place was rather secluded... I brought a blanket... always prepared... we had drinks and sandwiches, but, we were never there 2 eat... unless, tasting each other was like devouring an erotic meal... and, this song wasn't playing, there were others that moved us at the time... But, my sense memories kicked in when I heard this gem... No, you didn't play my heart like a fiddle... I was the one that didn't see you for the beauty that you were... I was the shallow one... I was the one, that was restless... you were calm, gentle... loving... everything a young man could want... even, if he didn't know what he wanted.. "and it all comes down 2 you..." I didn't get that second chance... Each of our firsts were incredible... thanks for those moments... He is no longer with us, he passed away in 2002, but I will always remember the night we parked out near a secluded field and lay under the stars. thanks for sharing your perspective on my post It's amazing how words, lyrics and/or a song can trigger memories, good or bad about something that happened to us I can tell this was a fond, heart felt memory I have the luxury of having listened to the music of all of the lyrics that I post first, and then I get to think about them, and listen for the meaning while crafting my interpretation but, with some of these lyrics, like this one, I only thought of my "first" love after hearing the song, and, I'm in a different perspective when I wrote the post and, I get to listen to the song, over and over, while I'm writing, it puts me right back to those moments I can't think about "what ifs" because I'm blessed with so many things in my life, that if anything were to have changed, then, the butterfly effect would happen, and "poof" everything else is gone and, it all comes down to this... thanks for sharing!!! have a great Sunday!!! be safe Hmm To leave private messages, please use my confidential mailbox at my blog: Good luck!!!
