When it rains... Now that the coffee maker issue is resolved, the soap opera continues. Literally a soap opera. My washing machine took a shit. It needs a clutch, which I've already replaced once before. I don't think I want to go through that battle again, even though I have the tools and experience of having done it before. Meanwhile, off to the laundromat, one of my favorite places in the world, just ahead of the dentist. The washer is even older than the coffee maker was, so it doesn't owe me anything, either. I'll take the motor out, then off to Miller Compressing with it. May it rust in piece. Sigh. Hard come, easy go. |

How's it working out for you? Now that I've had mine for awhile, I'm more impressed with it than I thought I would be. I was skeptical about not having an agitator but there's more room in the tub for large stuff I used to have to take to the laundromat. I washed a car cover the other day that never would have worked in the old one. It's coming time to run the cleaning stuff through it, they tell me the new ones tend to grow wildlife more than the old ones ever did, although the salesman told me to always use powder detergent and never use liquids. He said the liquids contain fats that cause bacterial growth. First I ever heard of that, but I'm impressed with the powdered detergents I've tried. (I'm currently on Tide in test phase.)
