Failed Signs. A Poem

When I let him go
It's going to be
A very long time
To repair what
Will be broken.
My heart and spirit.
Not to mention
My soul
Will need healing.

The signs that
Pointed to him
As my singular sensation
Were out of this world
I mean they were cosmic.

If I told you them
You wouldn't believe it
They are too far out
And psychedelic
If I am honest
With myself
They were crazy
I will admit.

The signs were like keys
Being turned in my mind
Things from my past
That provided fascination
He had a trio combination
It made me keep
My mind open
Not close it upon
Every problem encountered.

When this fails
As it inevitably will
I will forever be closed
To signs
Paying them no mind
Knowing they were
More akin with
Fool's gold
Than wishes granted
From a falling star.

 Not sure if I was being prophetic but things took a turn for the worse on January 8th and they will never be the same.
