Loneliness Abated For A While. A Poem

He was a mirage
In her deserted heart.
An illusion
That she built up.
When reality
Assumed it's role
That had been uncast
The illusion burst apart.
Leaving the empty
And deserted heart again.
Did she regret
His appearance altogether?
No because he made
For some carefree days
Loneliness abated
For a while
As he catered to
Some of her whims
Which provided amusement
For the both of them.

his heart
was a desert
sand and wind
a hot sun
burning down
creating
a thirst
a hunger
for life

his heart was
the vacuum
the emptiness
of space
with only distance
between him
and all else
