Want Him To Have A Change Of Heart A Poem

I should be mad
Mad as hell.
I poured my heart out to him
And he did not
Acknowledge it.
So I question his heart.
I question everything now!
Everything he said
Was it all just a lie
Just pretense to get
Me to open up
And then judge
Me as unworthy?

He doesn't know
Nor does he care
That I steeled myself up
I was effing present
And buying into
Just how special
We could be
That I was open
To it even being destiny
For the signs were there
For me to see.

Rejection is hard!
It is soul crushing.
I am going through
The motions
I am seeing other people
The void is filling
But it is not the same
It is a different viscosity.

I can say honestly
That I would want him
To have a change of heart
To apologize and tell me
He was wrong.
To seek a makeup
To realize he was worse off
Without me in his life.
To give us a second chance
Before too long!

With each passing day
We will be moving
Farther apart and away.
If he goes back
To the premise of fate
That he spoke of
So much initially.
He will be coming
Back to me.

I don't like the word fate
when a potential uses it that way,
it sends off alarm bells in my head
