Heart Held In Suspense A Poem When will my heart reopen? When will it see The light of day? It had to close itself For a time It had to hide itself away. Just numb Going through the motions. Hoping tomorrow a glimmer Will be revealed In some new love interest. Until then I am open To friendships I am not completely Closed off. I do have those Pesky things Called physical needs. I can surely take Matters into my own hands And do that practically Everyday. But occasionally I find I am willing to entertain A partner for some action. Knowing there is little chance For love to advance. So my heart might be considered Held in suspense. Until it finds the person Who deserves reverence.
