His Talent And Practice At Writing. A Poem

Is it okay to admit
That I am jealous of his wit?
That I think he is extraordinary
In fact I think it a gift
Bestowed upon him
By the Gods in Heaven.
But I also know that he
Works hard at his craft
That he has had much practice
In fact he had been
Doing it for the last
Few decades.

So yes a God given talent
Along with decades of practice
Make for the most brilliant
Items of writing.
He would brush aside
A compliment
As he is a humble guy
Which to me makes
The jealousy subside.
I can only marvel and appreciate
That he shares his writing
With the rest of us.
An ever thankful audience.
