Great song and it always brings back fun memories for me too, and I don't know why men call women sugar, they usually call me babe or darlin..which is okay with me the darlin, because that's just a term of endearment that us southern folks use.. I never was one for using pet names on people. I don't care if someone I don't know calls me "hon" or "honey" ya know like the waitress. I might be put off if the waiter called me "hon or honey" LOL I might shorten someone's name that I like or change the name to something I like better. Hard to shorten you name,,,ducking now! LOL My Mother's family uses my actual nick name (have a given nick name on the birth certificate) with an addition that I don't like at all and they still do it at this age. I don't say anything and gave up caring but I still cringe in my mind. LOL Can I quit ducking yet? or should I run?

When one is called Sugar, Cutie or Cute or Baby Girl, it is like receiving a pat on the head. It comes across as patronizing, or being treated like a little girl. .... Tough. Get use to it or don't respond. Women use these "Pet names" when she wants something from a male. So when a male uses a "Pet name" on a woman, she senses a "False approach". She's almost right, but he is attracted to her , and wants to fuck. Something I remind men of. ... Get over it, that won't change men. All woman here, no matter how short or tiny one is. ... Those are "Spinners", "Cutties", "Cupcakes", "Cookies". No matter how cute she may be, so much so that you just want to go up and pinch the cheeks on her face, not the ones on her ass. .... You have to introduce yourself first to the woman, and wait for to see if she accepts or denies... then pinch her ass cheeks. Or at least grab a good handful. Nobody calls all the bombshells they see in their travels Cute, do they? ... They do not. They call bombshells , "Hotties", generally. Bombshells are not cute, they're a more adult form of sexy. Get over it men, tiny women can be bombshells,....No. Anyway... leave , "What to call the woman" , to the man who sees the woman.

The name is William...Not Bill...That is something you get in the Mail and have to remit...All through school I had to put up with that bastardization of my name..."Well we can't call you William...That's just too formal..." So I gritted my teeth for 18 years...Anyone who addresses me by that name now is ignored...Then told in no uncertain terms that, was my "educational slave name"...You will now address me as William, W.D. or if we are on real good terms Dub...Those are your choices...Choose wisely...As far as terms of endearment go...I think "dear" and "darling" are the Cat's Pajamas..."dear one" elevates it a bit...Never have used "sugar" or "honey"...Except in Coffee or Tea..."Baby"...Don't use that one either...Used to cringe every time the Derek Morgan character in Criminal Minds addressed Penelope Garcia as "BabyDoll"...Gad...I know it was a "pet name" but damn...Couldn't the writers come up with something better? Off to the Garage...

Not allowed to call someone "Sugar" these days, it's so politically incorrect. I think the term now is "Reduced Calorie Artificial Sweetener". Which doesn't really have the same effect, somehow.
