I've committed to my first meeting with an passion member. I'm really excited. I hope it goes well. I've booked a room in preparation as requested. I really hope I am not disappointed.

Probably not the wisest thing you could have done. While some people do meet and enjoy each other -- it does happen -- other like the idea of wasting your time... and money.

If you've never met this person, the first meeting should be for coffee or something in a public place. There are plenty of hotel rooms available if you need them at a moment's notice. But once you've booked a room, and the time has passed (if you've been stood up), you won't be able to get your money back.

passion is not an instant sex site. Even for a potential fuck buddy, a real person will want to meet first. Yes, you might play on first date, but that's not a given.

 Thanks for the tips. I have offered to meet the person in a public place, of course. If they stand me up, I have other plans in the area with someone I already know.

 A little follow-up if anyone is looking...I did not get stood up. I always make sure the person understands that they are under no obligation and fun is whatever we make of it. They were very nice. I much enjoyed their company. To be sure, humorlife is correct in all his advice. So, don't be me unless you have a master plan that involves other good reasons for your stay in the area.
