Just A Head's Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just giving everyone a head's up!! It may have already have been discussed here in a blog or elsewhere but I just wanted to put the word out- just in case!! passion seems to have a few "shady" business practices (surprised?). I have a few friends on here who have had their credit cards charged without authorization. They have had their auto renew set to off and then it mysteriously gets changed and their credit card gets charged!! That's BS and I would think illegal? Now in the interests of fairness..they did call passion and were issued refunds on their credit card if it was requested. Of course they would no longer have the gold. But I'm beginning to wonder IF it is such a good idea to have one??? Anyone else have that happen to them? Just seems like trying to steal to me!!   Be Honest..Be Sincere...Be REAL  |

This has unfortunately been their practise for years from what I can understand. I have a friend who was a member here before I joined and her auto renew would mysteriously be switched back on and her cc charged even though she had it set to not auto renew. Best option would be to use one of those reload able credit cards and just keep enough money on to pay the membership fee once...then at least they won't charge you without you knowing

Condemning them publicly and remaining seems less supportive of said friends and more encouraging to the very condemned. Merely an observation of course! Using more than all the road!

Apparently, it's a good, shady practice. As long as less than 100% of the people wrongly charged demand a refund, MH makes money. For this reason, I don't see this company changing this practice any time soon. There will always be those people who either don;t notice their credit cards have been charged, or are too timid to ask for the refund. MH counts on this. The solution? Only pay with one-time type instruments such as money orders or cheques if accepted. If not, then do as I do, and go standard and stay that way. Woodrow J. Evers

I check my auto renew one time and it was on, lol but they could not get any money because the account was closed, so now they have left the auto renew off, I don't think I will ever go back to a gold membership again, I have talk to and met some great people on here in the pass, but now since they are screwing around with their long time members , they are getting a lot of fakes,, flakes, and people who just like to play games, I just read the blogs.
