Brothels?

My question today is this...

SHOULD BROTHELS BE LEGAL?

If a woman wants to sell her body.... should she be able to without breaking the law......??????

I feel sorry for any woman who would feel like she had to do that...... but I don't look down on anyone for doing what they feel like they have to do....

What do you think??????

THANK YOU GUYS FOR FOLLOWING MY BLOG

I believe that brothels should be legal to remove the stigma and shame attached to the profession because of it being illegal. After all a person has to survive some how. And it is the person's right to do with their body as they please without rules or limits.

Yes brothels should be legal.. We've legalized pot and lots of other stuff.. Why not provide a safe environment that a woman can do what she wants with her body. Earn a living and have protection from crazy.

I have no opinion about whether they should be legal....but if anyone has seen the HBO program about the Moonlight Bunny Ranch in Nevada, you would realize that the girls doing all the work are getting paid a pittance ….the house gets the lion's share of the fee.

I think brothels should be legal. But like prostitution a woman selling her body for sex and getting paid for it, is illegal. If she wants to sell her body for sex that is her choice, but she should be able to handle the any issues that might come if something happens to her.

Yes, it should legalized for many reasons. The johns would have a clear mind when it comes to being busted for hiring a prostitute and the girls would be monitored for STD.
also a married guy would know where to go to get a quick piece, he'd have a good choice and he's going to pay one way or another!!

Legalize it and tax it! States would have more revenue, cops and courts would have less to do.

I think they should be legal also and agree entirely with big54al

Brothels in this country would be a magnet to every self righteous out fit in the country. With enough unfounded craziness to make it a mess. The independent people do quite well when they run their business properly. That is to say no loud parties in the prospective neighborhoods, keep them selves clean and get a regular check up

Yes they should be legal .Making it legal removes nearly all the problems we associate with it (drugs, disease, trafficking) since it its all out in the open then.

I say yes, legalize it. Some men can only get laid that way. Monitor it with security and testing and cleanliness. Try to put the sex trafficers out of business. Take the seediness out of it. Would be some good revenue.

I would think that should be legal but our part of the country would probably never vote for it Kitten.

Yes, far easier to control things that way. Security for the ladies and men I guess and testing records etc.

A friend that lives in Thailand tell me there you walk them to the health clinic and they test as you wait. I'm sure they could do that in house and what is peace of mind worth, a lot to me.

I have never been to one, or ever patornized a prostitute in my entire life. I have known quite a few however, starting with a trio of gals in my graduating class in high school that ran a lunchtime 'service' in the equipment shack at school, with the coach & janitor's approval, no idea HOW they were repaid, but the trio also started several other gals from my class in the life, one of whom I was friends with her daughter years layer (who was an oops btw) after her mother had died of a drug overdose. Of the trio, the leader died at age 20 from a drug overdose, the 2nd in command is now a great grandmother, and I lost track of the 3rd, and at least one of the others they got started I know died of a drug overdose too. NOW that death rate says something, right? That maybe if prostitution was legal, these gals may not have died the way they did, OR that they may have pursued their chosen proffession (and no MAN started these gals, other WOMEN got them started) with a better life result. I have known several women who either could not learn job skills or chose not to, that could have had lives other than getting married to support themselves, who enjoyed se & funn, and could have used those 'natural' skills to their profit. Sadly those marriages almost always failed, when the hubbys could not abide their wives varied appetites. ANd now, as of this writing, I know a mother, as well as 2 of her 3 daughters, who have chosen to not learn job skills, and who have voracious se ual appetites, who have been living off men as a life choice, repaying that support with se . The mom, as I have been told, started her lifestyle while in high school, and continiues at age 40, and encouraged her daughters to become se ually active while in junior high, so that they could find boys & men that would support them. The mom was briefly married in her 20's, had already had 2 children by then out of wedlock, had one with while married, and 1 more after her divorce, 4 diff dads I am told. Now, she is a smart woman overall, and had done this knowingly, so IF she could have pursued her chosen lifestyle as a profession, most likely she wouldnt have 4 children, as time off for a pregnancy would be bad for biz, and would likely be at least wealthier than she is now, and maybe healthier too. Nonthe less, one daughter already has a man on her stringer, and one is currently working her way thru all the boys & men in the surrounding area sometimes a couple of them in the same day, laughs about how much she enjoys se and the MONEY the boys & men spend on her, has had 3 pregnancy scares and is only 18 now, and vows to continue with any & all men willing to spend money on her for the rest of her life, as "her mother does" she says. And the 3rd daughter, a bit more circumspect in her activities, but still very active, often sharing HER BFs with her older sisters, and they share theirs with her too, and she is only a sophmore in high school currently.
So if prostitution was legal, never mind brothels, all 4 of these women could & likely WOULD be in buisness earning their living in a legal and enjoying way. Is it more wrong they must pursue their chosen life illegally as they do now, or legally if prostitution was made legal? You must judge, but ME, I say make it legal, and I think many of our social probs that revolve around se would disappear overnite!

SHOULD BROTHELS BE LEGAL? .... Yes. But that only makes prostitution legal in these establishments, right? Would we still have a prostitution problem in the street? Yes. The women who are not attractive enough to get work in Brothels, would still be selling on the street. The customers who don't make enough income would still be seeking sex from the 20 to 60 dollar hooker.
So who does get hired? The better looking women? Sure, but would the high class clean call girl close business to work in a Brothel? No. She's making 500 to 2000 [maybe more] per customer. The money, all of it, goes to her bank account.
Not to worry though, there would still be attractive girls who try to get hired.

Would human sex trafficking go away? Probably not. It's a 30 billion dollars a year profit.

If a woman wants to sell her body.....
There are different ways women [can/could] do that.
-a-She wants a boyfriend [acceptable legal version of prostitution]
-b-She wants to date [acceptable legal version of prostitution]
-c-She wants to get married [very acceptable legal version of prostitution].
-d-She wants cash right upfront....[this is the only illegal version of prostitution]

So why is that? Why, exactly, is prostitution illegal?
The case for making prostitution [version -d-] against the law, to pay for sex upfront, begins with the premise that at prostitution's base is that is it exploitative and demeaning to sex workers.

But is it really demeaning and exploitative in every situation? There's big difference between the unattractive back alley girl, the poor call girl controlled by a pimp, and the high end call girl, employing a body guard.

The high end call girl isn't demeaned, isn't exploited. She's choosing her customers, and being paid well. ....So, mostly, it would seem, the argument to keep it illegal is because of the poor women., usually addicts, and the pimp controlled women. [Note: Not all pimps treat their women badly. Society wants you to think they are all treated badly by a pimp - it's a stereotype]..

If prostitution is legalized only for Brothels, do the unattractive poor women benefit from this? .. No. Brothels are gong to hire "Attractive women".

If prostitution is legalized completely, do the poor [not so attractive] women benefit from this? Yes. She won't be arrested. Neither would her customers. But does that get rid of the pimp, who can clear 200,000 to 800,000 dollars a year? No.

should she be able to without breaking the law?.....

Women already do prostitution without breaking the law.

-She gets a boyfriend, he pays for food , drink , entertainment..[she benefits he get sex.]
-She gets a date, he pays for food , drink, entertainment...[she benefits, maybe he gets sex.]
-She gets married, he pays for food, drink, entertainment, creature comfort,..[she benefits..-although mostly if she gets a divorce- pay later plan- but he gets sex out of the arrangement , at least for awhile].

I feel sorry for any woman who would feel like she had to do that......

Well...many...
women feel like she needs a boyfriend. Feel sorry for them?

Women feel like she wants to date a lot [sees several men].. Feel sorry for those women?

Women feel like she wants to get married. Feel sorry for them? Funny enough, we don't feel sorry for them, we applaud this version -c-, of prostitution. It helps the community economically, even if they fail, and she gets paid for her services to him.

The woman who actually gets a job in a Brothel, is making a choice. She gets paid in cash, she has sex. Basically the same thing if she dated, had a boyfriend or got married. She benefits.

If a woman didn't "Benefit", she would have no incentive to date, to get a boyfriend, to get a husband, nor to work in a Brothel.

Unless the woman is a Humanitarian, or a saint , women only have sex if there is a benefit for her.

She doesn't want you to feel sorry for her, anymore than the woman who gets a decent boyfriend or goes on decent dates, or gets married to a decent man.

What do you think? .... We legalize Brothels, but that won't make prostitution go away. Won't make human trafficking completely go away either.

But for sure would reduce marriages because now when the male wants sex, he doesn't have to get into a relationship, he doesn't have to date, and he certainly doesn't need to get married. ... and he can have many different women.

Maybe that's the real reason why prostitution [version -d-] is criminalized. Society does not benefit financially.

Sure, if that's how someone wants to earn a living, then more power to them.

I love the way you make me horny without even doing anything.

I always enjoy seeing a positive reaction from a lady on this subject!! lol and thank you there positively, for yours.
My opinion on the subject is that yes, of course, it should be made legal and if the ladies wish to be involved, then make it safe as possible and regulated to make it that way for them.
I'm a bit familiar with this subject as I have a lady friend I've known from high school that for many years supported and raised her kids doing just this and made a very good living from it. And on the second note, she loved it for the most part and only stopped when she got married for the second time and had to conceal her activities from the new in-laws and husband.
She is now single again and she is thinking about going back into the trade on part time basis, even though with some years on her now, she still has the body and mindset of a late 30 yr old. There is nothing wrong with it as long as it's done safely and willingly for the ladies.
