Website problems - For me, the email/message system here is absolutely dysfunctional now. So many say they have complained to support - only to be told support is aware of the problem, and working to resolve it. Maybe it's just not fixable though, or they just don't know how to fix it.. The email messaging system here is kind of important to the use of this website - I mean what good is a personals kind of website - if you can't have reliable contact with others? The IM chat here has never worked for me. As others have complained about - posts and messages in the groups and magazine just disappear. The list of issues with this website goes on... Some people pay for memberships here, and some use earned points to enhance their membership here. I haven't heard anyone say that they have asked for refunds or credits for paid memberships to a website that is dysfunctional though. I mean what is the point of paying, or using earned points to pay for enhancements - if the main core of the website is dysfunctional and unusable?? Maybe if lots of people started asking for refunds or credits for money or points paid because the service they are paying for is unusable - maybe that would eventually prompt a better resolution? To begin messing with their money might get a little more attention.. And if anyone decides to cancel a paid membership here, and become just a standard member because the service the website offers is pretty much unusable - make sure the website knows the reason you are cancelling your paid membership. Just a thought that came to me last night.. When I thought to myself, why am I even trying to do this - it doesn't work.. Oh, and to anyone trying to send me messages via the email messaging system here. I may get notices that I have new messages waiting - but I cannot find those new messages in my mailbox here. Better post that message here, if you want me to ever have a chance to actually see it... |

So much on this site is a problem now, the message center being one of the worst. They have been notified about it and you see what has happened huh? Oh well maybe one day they will get their act together, but I'm not holding my breath.   ↘----Come check out our blog  ----↙Bunnysyummy2

I got an email from them this morning supposedly still working on the problems with mail and groups, somehow I’m thinking they don’t have all that many people involved in figuring out where the glitches are. I do know from experience that all it takes is one stray or missing character in many lines of code to create a programmers needle in a haystack nightmare. Corporate office is probably not even aware of the problems, site maintenance is most likely farmed out to lowest bidder overseas, if everyone sent a snail mail complaint it might better make the point that the job isn’t getting done. Corporate office mailing address can be found at the bottom of nearly every web site page.

The site issues for me is it has wiped out my message center. Then in some site groups I am a member of you can see the group heading but no topic discussions are visible. Some issues with bogging to. In contacting support they say they are aware of the issues and working on them. Hey it has been over a week and more issues still coming up and the old issues still remain.

I was a member for awhile,but had problems from the getgo. I wasn't able to talk to others, { they could see my emails on I M but when they answered I couldn't read them. I ask for credit but was denied, so I cancelled. Now I have same problem BUT! I it isn't costing me anymore.

Until now I was not aware that not all of my messages to standard members were not able to be read. I have been a paying member for quite some time and will assure you if this does not change I will leave the site. A gold membership is not cheap and should damn well covering the use of everything the site has to offer and that means the capability of a standard member being able to read my email without me UPGRADING to anything else. I will not be upgrading my membership if this upgrade remains in effect!!

I'm a relatively new gold member here. I'm experiencing the same issues many who have posted here are complaining about. Notifications of messages, that aren't there. Seeing the first sentence of a new message in the conversation list, but not having the message there when I open the conversation. Messages that I sent creating notifications of new messages, and other general issues with email here. The entire site floats on people being able to contact each other through the system. Unless they get this fixed promptly, I won't be renewing my membership.

The site has had probs since I first joined in '99. They have only gotten worse over the years. And they change the rules at random too, in the name of improving the site. As long as people pay for Gold memberships tho, they will make money. As long as they can sell ads such as occur alongside you page, they make money. As long as they can take the photos, stories, blog contents, posts, replies, your contacts, and use them as they please, they make money. The only way to show them they should care, is to leave the site altogether, but then you will never know if you changed anything at all, which you probably didnt, because they can use your profile long after your gone, to continue to send notices of interest to newer users, who are unaware that this is done. And frankly, I dont leaqve because I have freinds here I am interested in communicating with. Sure, I would like to make some real contacts here, but in the year & 1/2 since I activated my profile at my current location, I have yet to have ONE response, beyond the bloggers that reply to my blog, and that numbers in the single digits. 90% of my hotlist are local people on here, but none reply, so hmmm, how many are fakes?I will never know, nor will any of you, especially if you are a single male standard, the bottom of the bottom on this site!

Problems and grievances abound my lady that's why I've never considered a paid membership Ah well, at least, we're in good company ... Cheers - P

Hi I being a standard, I can not read email, but using IM can chat with some friends and acquaintances, then there are blogs where you can write and even groups, where to write, but it is true sometimes there are problems in passion Nice Day

I believe most of the messaging problems were during that one weekend. Most of the time it's reliable. IM's though. Not reliable.

I agree that it is basically a waste of time & money....but it isn't costing too much that I can't afford it...Anywho that's my 2 cents worth...take care Mz toes.

I hear what you are saying, sometimes i think some of the profiles are mere ghosts floating around to make you think you are not alone and just when you think you may have found a friend you can relate too and you write a well thought out message spilling all your feelings and emotions so the new friend prospect can get to know more about you and then nothing. Makes you somewhat irritated thinking that the thought provoking message that took some time to compose was all in vain and was never read and never will be. Kind of makes you mad doesnt it? I use to have those feelings but i keep on writing because every once in awhile the message will be served and read by someone who actually has a pulse and a brain that likes to communicate with others to keep it ticking and learning new ideas and concepts. I had to leave you a message on you blog because i had just wrote you a fairlly lengthy note and when i read that you sometimes dont receive, i started thinking maybe another message just bit the dust. I would love to hear what you have to say, it is refreshing that i am not the only person who doesnt mind writing a short note that has substance and contains more than a three word sentence.
