I don't quite understand how when a member shows up on IM, the status says so and so is not on IM? Could somebody explain pls.

 As far I know.. they were,, and they've left not long ago... or more than likely as per usual IM is just CRAP!

 After a member leaves the IM there is a substantial lag period before it appears on the profile.
