Top fan If I'm understanding things correctly, the top fan deal is a way that standard members can contact people. You simply earn enough points to secure a place as someone's #1 fan. You can then send them a message. If my understanding is correct, it's rather pointless for a gold member to bid, because they can message everyone. Maybe I'm missing something. Maybe I'm just being a brat. But to the gold member who outbid me by one stupid point before I could send a message to him, screw you bitch. |

I never thought about it in such practical terms before. I always just thought of becoming a Top Fan as a way of showing my appreciation for that person. And if I'm going to be their Top Fan, then I'm going to be their number 1. lol

Being the top fan is a standard member's only way to have any contact with a person. We can't view profiles, we cant send a message, and chances are good we won't receive a message either. I guess I'm seeing it more as staking a claim. The message came across loud and clear.

It is pretty ignorant for a gold member to outbid a standard who's in the number 1 spot. I'm a points hoarder personally, I'm just racking them up for the days after my gold runs out and I need them to be active on here.

It's not that expensive to get a Gold Membership. If you get a month membership for like $29 I think and let it run out and wait a couple weeks they'll send you an email for a %50 discount and you can get a year for around $45 I think. You can do it monthly for a little over $4. There are ways around it but it's easier to just get the membership. Once you learn the ropes and start accumulating points you can get free gold and it's a lot easier being a women. You can also get an extra 6 months added to the year membership by sending 3 emails a month, posting one blog a month and I think the other is you have to log in so many times a week. If you see someone that's a standard member and you want to talk to them all you have to do is Fan them for 50 points and they can read and send you emails. Hope this helps and good luck. Oh yeah, read your TOU and mind your P's and Q's. There are one's here that if they see you as a threat they will try and get you deleted and wait for you to make a mistake.

yes gold isnt what it use to be... use to have full access... but now you can pay extra as a gold an standards can contact you... all about money... but i have a few friends who top fan me, an we email back an forth even if they arent high bidder...
