Is it seasonal allergies? Or, do I have 5 minutes to live??

Is it seasonal allergies? Or, do I have 5 minutes to live??

It's that time of year when my sesonal allergies hit hardest.

Early spring.

Buds are popping, plants are springing to life, and my sinuses are swelling to max capacity.

Fantastic!

I clear my throat a lot when I'm having sinus issues.... This is going to go over like a lead balloon.

I sneezed in my office yesterday afternoon and 5 people popped their head in to make sure I was ok.

How did it get to this point?

Everyone is on red alert these days for even the slightest hint that someone may be "sick".

I was telling Nose Hairs about my allergy issues and he did tell me there is an allergy medication you can get over the counter at the pharmacy that has a decongestant in it, I'm going to give that a try.

Wish me luck!

Hopefully the villagers won't be escourting me out with their pitch forks and torches when I get to work today.

Ugh... Mouth breathers are the worst.

I get allergy shots every 4 weeks. It does not cure everything but makes it tolerable without medication all the time. I am allergic to pussy (cats) and that gives me an asthma reaction. The shots help with that. If I take meds it is Claritan-D 24HR or the generic version. I have had sinus issues my whole life as well as allergies. I also had surgery for a deviated septum in early 90s.
My daughter is allergic to cats and cigarette smoke.. It does a number on her asthma. She's had more asthma flare ups in the last six months, since the chain smoking downstairs neighbors moved in, then she's had in the last 4 years combined.

I've been using the clarion D or the store brand and a combination of other allergy meds for years now. The D stuff works great to clear the congestion but it can cause complications that result in a sinus infection because it slows the draining effect by drying things up a bit to much. Or something like that as I was told by my doctor. So be careful about using it too much. It pisses me off when they put the stuff on sale and you want to buy two packages... Because you know you have allergies.. And the federal crap turns you down all because some cop thought it would be a good way to stop people from making meth. Yeah that's worked so well... I have wished unending allergies on the bastards that passed that law frequently.
I usually only need this kind of stuff in the early spring.... But I will be careful. When it comes to drugs, people will find a way.

    What's going on? I don't feel cool
There must be something in the air
Could be pollen or animal hair
I think my lungs are gonna explode
I must be having another episode
    It's not a familiar emotion
My lymph nodes are making a commotion
The blood test came back and it's true
Oh no! I'm allergic to you
    I'm allergic to you
When you're around, my throat feels dry
And I get the itchy eyes
My stomach's tied up in a knot
And I just wanna throw up a lot
That song... Made me laugh. LOL Thank you, I needed that.

So McNoseHairs obviously didn't give up his secret remedy then - the reason he grows his nasal hair to jungle proportions is to filter out all those pollens, nae sinus problems for him, job done!! Doesnae work for me right enough!!

Hope you're feeling better with the Claritin D.
The Clariton D worked great! It's kind of pricy, but well worth it, especially now when the slightest cough gets you the attention of everyone within a 50 mile radius. As for those nose hairs.... For the LIFE of me, I don't know how he lives with those things!! How is he able to breathe?? There are so many of them....

I take a generic version of Claritin year round, that way nothing sneaks up on me.

or better yet, maybe theyll "social distance" so far away
you may never actually have to interact with any of them at all

lemme know how that works, maybe i can sniffle a lot next time
i have to brave the grocery store and get all the room i want and more
I felt really good today, actually, so just the regular social distancing. As for your shopping... Cough a little into your elbow pit next time your shopping, it will clear out a 20 ft radius. LOL

When you find that stuff that works? 🤔 Let me know.
    Thanks. 🍷🍷👍😎
I tried it today. Clariton D - it worked amazing. You can only buy it behind the counter at the pharmacy because it apparently has the stuff in it that people make meth from. Yikes!

Clariton D.... It worked amazing. I wish I'd known about this years ago. I'd been taking the other clariton from off the shelf, it doesn't have the decongestant in it.
