The Foremost Authority We ALL have this coworker.... The one who has done everything, seen everything, worn every shirt. Every experience this coworker has ever had eclipses any story you have to share. Fuck this coworker. I was in the breakroom yesterday, taking an ibuprofin, as I now experience a nearly daily headache. The combination of not wearing my glasses, wearing glasses that are fogged up, and having the constant pulling at me ears from the mask is just killing me. "You know, ibuprofin is bad for you. You should be taking Tylenol. With everything that is going on, I can't believe you're taking an ibuprofin." Yah.... This coming from the Foremost Authority, the one wearing TWO masks because the 'downstater customers' keep getting in her face. "I distinctly remember, not that long ago, you saw me taking a Tylenol and, if I'm not mistaken, you lectured me on how Tylenol was bad for my liver...." She just stood there. "Now , correct me if I'm wrong, but, didn't I laugh and say give it a few weeks and suddenly we'll need to star taking Tylenol again? That everything is bad for you at some point?" She did NOT like my response. "This is different! This is a matter of life and death....." I continued to receive the lecture from the crazy woman wearing two masks, one of which was taped to her face with medical tape. Because, you know.... She's the Foremost Authority. |

Back when I was in the Air Force we had this guy in the shop that no matter what you told for a story he would come up with a better more outrageous story. So of course I just had to tease him. So when he would come into the room where me and another of my friends were telling about various experiences we had had we would wait for him to finish his story then one of us would go into a really outrageous story to top his story about whatever he would come with and making it so obviously bullshit that anyone could tell it was just that. It took him quite a while to catch on to what we were doing. The guy was only 18 or 19 years old but he had a story to top anything we were talking about...until he figured out we were just fucking with him.

the office whacko; to be avoided at all costs. i usually just leave the room the minute he comes in and make like i got something important to do.

I hate those kind of people, I usually just smile and continue doing what I was doing.

After you drink your water, you need to cough a few times. With your mouth covered, of course. But loosely, so most of the germs can escape.  Since she likes to tape her mask, help her with that. Duct tape. Wrap it around her head and face several times, starting above her eyes and going down to her chin. Then spin her around several times very quickly...and leave the office immediately.

They say the virus can enter through your eyes.... so a mask is pointless whether it works or not. Granted it may help some. I don't care what you take for medicine..... here & there is ok. Just don't over due it. I have taken 4 Ibuprophen every 6 hours for 3 days before, maybe longer. Yep.... still fine! Tell her to fly a kite this weekend! My Dad always said "Don't let the bastards wear ya down!"

Boy, oh boy, am I glad I don't work any more. Yeah...I had one of those coworkers. Let me tell you, the people that think they know everything annoy those of us that do. Keep calling her out, eventually she'll leave you alone.

Keep calling her out, eventually she'll leave you alone. Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!
