Some people get under your skin... My work BFF stopped by my office today to ask me how I was doing. He said to me... "Some people get under your skin, and not in a bad way, a good way. You're one of those people who got under my skin." He was expressing concern as I haven't been myself for a while. I told him I haven't felt like myself for a while. I can't pinpoint what's wrong, but something just isn't right. I just wanted to talk to him, and try to mull things over, but God dammit, everybody and their brother wanted to hover outside my door and be a fucking pain in the ass. "Someone made a mess in the bathroom." You're a big girl, clean the fucker. "I need to be off on Monday, I just wanted to let someone know." It's fucking Tuesday, you will see your manager between now and then. "Can I get some gloves?" No "One of my friends just gave me this gift card for being an essential worker!" Accepting gratuitous gifts and money is AGAINST company policy! "Do you know where [someone who is visibly not in my office!] is?" NO!! You can use a phone the same as I can. Page them. Needless to say... I didn't get the opportunity to vent my feelings or frustrations about anything and, in fact, got just a little bit angrier at all the needy fucking assholes I work with. Work BFF thinks I need a vacation, and, he's probably right. The problem is, who wants to go on vacation now when everything is a fucking mess in the economy? Businesses open? Closed?? Travel ban??? I'm also feeling a hair lonely.... In a sea full of people who are coupled up... There is me. I feel like the lone kid who never gets picked for a team. This too, shall pass, I know.... But it's an awfully emotional journey for me. |

Yes...this too shall pass. Hopefully and eventually. Sorry....i dont have words of wisdom ( at least to me...lol ), Im feeling it too.....and have decided to just ride it out.....and see how we all emerge from this cocooning. Tequila helps that process ~~

Just go to any major city and steal and set fires. No quarantines there. Will get you out of the house. Masks optional. But by gosh don’t even think about going to a salon for a pedicure. You might get sick. No, I’m not bitter at all.🤦♀️

Yes, I've certainly found it hard going being on my own throughout lock-down. Ten weeks has passed a lot quicker than I expected though! But enough's enough now.

Ahhh... Vacation... How big is your balcony? 🤔 Sun ☀ lamp and a palm 🌴 tree and you're halfway there. Pour a 🥃 rum and coke, some Carribean music 🎶 and you're all set. 😊👍 Just a thought... 😎❗

I have been on my own the majority of my life. Yeah, I get lonely once in a while but it passes. I have really only had 2 relationships in my life, both marriages. 2nd one shouldn't have happened, but I settled cause I can't find anyone. Now I'm not sure I want to. LOL

It wasn't my gift card or friend, it was one of the floor associates who had received it. A lot of customers have been gifting the associates for being essential workers, which is a very kind thing. Problem is, most businesses will not allow the acceptance of gratuitous gifts as they can be perceived as bribes. We can be termed for accepting this stuff, so everything has to be turned in to management. The management staff is not heartless, and the gifts are given back to the associates who receive them. This coworker didn't turn anything in, and suddenly, after I reminded her that we aren't allowed to accept gifts, she claimed to be off the clock and the friend had been looking for her for weeks.

i certainly understand feeling like life has lost focus or purpose or direction or...focus on your strengths and loves and tomorrow will take care of itself. there is a verbal exchange in the movie "Field of Dreams" the ghost of shoeless joe jackson is coaching the rookie who showed up from the past as well, "full count what do you think (the pitcher) will do?" " he probably will go low and outside...or in my ear"(having been brushed back by the pitcher twice) shoeless joe says "so be ready for low and outside...but watch out for in your ear"
