Goulash.... It's what's for dinner! I was trolling through faceplace while the Spawn and I were at the lake tonight.... When I came across a post that had a picture of goulash with the caption, "You ain't never been poor if you haven't had this for dinner." And I was like... Oooh! That sounds good! Goulash for dinner! I guess that makes me poor..... Cause, I'm making goulash right now and... It's what's for dinner! |

Poor man's dinner here used to be haggis, funnily enough........but these days they've made it all gastro-chef posh. Porridge too, I still love that. Hope yours was tasty McLade.

Hmm, sounds good it doesn't matter how it is perceived by others, only what it means to you I like meatloaf, my mom would make it for me on my birthday have a great day hmm Allan Sherman - "Hungarian Goulash No. 5" If you like Hungarian food, They have a goulash which is very good Or if you wish a dish that's Chinese, Somewhere down in Column B, there's lobster Cantonese Enchiladas, that's what people eat in Mexico Shish kebab is skewered, in Armenia you know Then there's blubber, the favorite of the frigid Eskimo Such delicious dishes, no matter where you go Chicken cacciatore is Italian Kangaroo souffle must be Australian Mutton chops are definitely British Chicken soup undoubtedly is Yiddish

I like goulash. A hearty Hungarian stew in which you won't be hungry for hours after eating it

I've made IT in a variety of different ways when out camping or at a Mountain-man Rendezvous in a Dutch Oven !! I've used a variety of pastas , sauces & meat ( including Wild Game ) !! Once made it at a Rendezvous as a Camp Potluck Meal that I knew was going to happen one evening and used Bison ( Buffalo ) as the meat ; as I have a source for that meat !!

I've made it and had it as kids your never poor if you have a roof over your head food in your fridge family and friend that love you. I'ld rather eat and enjoy simple food then it at some high end restaurant with a nouch of high price snobs out order was another. Comfort food is the best. That's why in this time of pandemic these restaurants want you to come to their place of business. Oh they may cut costs knowing you not work and can't afford it but never the less they need you. Will I cook for the week normal one night a week we get take out. One time every three months we eat out for it's $150.00 for two meals and drinks coffee dessert. So I real could care less about them. I do feel for the workers the one that need the money most of all. But I look at the ground when I walk you never know what you will find when your poor .rich people walk with their nose in the air for they are better then us so they think. Not all but way to many. Have a great day and enjoy your left over it normally better the xnext few day like stuff shell I'll have to night bleft over . Oxoxoxoo Thomas

I cooked goulash last week, nothing wrong with it. Quick and easy good meal.

When I googled recipes, the Hungarian versions had different types of pastas and meats used in the recipe. Maybe that's the difference? The plain 'goulash' recipes all had elbow macaroni and ground beef in them.
