What's that I'm feeling? I think it's called.... Emotionally drained. Between COVID and kids and work and life, I've lost a little bit of myself. I realized this morning that I found a fucking whisker growing out of my chin yesterday and didn't immediately think... Damn! WTF is that?? I need BLOG about this monstrous discovery! The world needs know of this horror... Instead, I plucked it out, wrinkled my nose in disgust at myself in the mirror, and flushed it down the toilet. I didn't even save it to show the Spawn my discovery. I love to hear her exclaim, " My God Mom!" So, here I sit this morning. I've already cried a little, my Middle Son turned 18 today. I now have 2 grown children and one Spawn of Satan. I just woke and already feel exhausted, but I know I have a full day of work ahead of as it's orientation day and I have present a good face for the new peeps. And, it's the Spawn's weekend at her dad's. I would keep her home, but her birthday was yesterday and her dad deserves get celebrate it with her as well... I already hog the holidays. So, it's not really a Happy Friday.... But, it is a Friday. Friday! |

They grow up way to fast.  I'm really struggling with this one... Maybe it's the Marine thing, I'm having a hard time with that as well. Maybe I'm just crazy... I think I'm leaning toward crazy... Ah McLade, I really do wish I could wrap you up in my arms now! Always bear in mind that he'll always be your boy, and he'll always love his mum! My cousin's son joined the Marines about a year ago, my cuz goes from worry one minute to unbridled pride the next, it must be torture........more cuddles coming your way!

That's pretty tough, not seeing your boy on his big day.......funny to think that all of a sudden he's a man, when did that happen......but aye, all will be well.......and in the mean time, here's a wee cuddle from the daft jock Ye're a canny gorgeous lassie McLade! Balance... it's tough to find, but it's what'll keep us all sane What a great milestone; something certainly to celebrate! 👍 Cripes, I'm crying again... Nose Hairs caught me in the midst of an emotional moment, I don't think he quite knew what to do. Thankfully I contained myself.

Well here’s a virtual hug. I too despise the errant rogue hairs that pop up to plague my otherwise pleasing presence (coughs BS). This past year feels like a blur in suspended animation. I don’t know about you , but my plan this weekend is to do absolutely damn nothing for anybody but me. Laundry? Uh hell no. Dinner? There’s the microwave. Use your fingers. Driving Mssrs Lazy? Call uber. Binge watching brain rot on tv or Netflix? Sign me up buttercup!!

Turkey Day is coming, so you can relax, well, after you fix a huge dinner. But then you can relax, well after you spend the other half of the day cleaning up. Uhmmmm, well..... good luck with that.

Oh dear. Keep pushing through, girlfriend!! You've got this!!  At least you found your little whisker all by yourself. I had NO IDEA I had a thick, grey whisker coming out of my chin a few years ago. We were out to dinner with our grown kids. All of a sudden, they all started pointing and laughing, and my husband said, "Hold still." He yanked the sucker out and handed it to me, as they all died laughing. Now I touch and feel that area every single day, making sure nothing's there. Nice, huh??
