Now you see it, now you don't. Is it just me? Or... Did the weekend just seem to FLY by?!? Ugh Like a bad penny, Monday is back. And, what better way to start my day than the threat of freezing rain and the sight of US troops headed to Europe and the Ukraine. Fantastic! I got news last night that my Oldest Son was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis.... One of the side effects to having COVID. I can tell he's not taking it as seriously as he should be, and that worries me quite a bit. I'd been telling him to go to the doctor since Christmas and he wouldn't listen to me. Now he has and, he'll 'get to the pharmacy when he can'. Not going to lie, my anxiety is kicked up a notch this morning. What I wouldn't give for a nice little vacation right now..... Sunshine and beach weather, fruity drink in my hand, the smell of coconut emanating from my skin. Sigh.... Looks like I'll make the slow crawl to work this morning instead, traveling the icy roads. No fruity drink, no sunshiny weather. Wish me luck. Happy Monday! |

Sigh...we could all use some sunshine...lazing on a beach all day...biggest dilemna being which fruity drink to order next and how am i gonna reach that bit with sun cream...ahh...nice to dream😊x

Glad to read that your son got his meds for the DVT. Hopefully he takes them like he's supposed to. Not something to mess with. You could go to Michaels in Traverse City and see if they have beach décor that you could decorate your office with! Maybe when it's not quite so icy, though.

I'm glad he did, it's nothing to play with. I checked your area to be sure there's one there before I suggested it, there's at least one. Check Groupon for deals, they often have them.

He got his meds today, he stopped by my office to let me know he picked them up. It was way worse than I even thought it was. Thankfully the pharmacists filled him in on how serious everything was. I've never heard of a float spa.... I'm going to have to look that up. It totally sounds like something I would want to do. I know firsthand that DVT can be life-threatening! There are do’s and don’ts. Blood thinners are vital to help break up the blood clots and prevent a recurrence.

True story.... Nose Hairs had actually said I need to get someone to paint a beach mural on my office walls so it's like I'm always at the beach. LOL I would LOVE that!

We've actually started talking about doing something on spring break. Not quite sure where, yet, but I'd like it to be within a semi reasonable driving distance. Maybe a cabin somewhere? B&B? Lots of options.

Drive slow and safe as you can. I'm not worried for you as much as the other nuts around you to impaction to get to work. Prays for both sons two battles they both should not be in but are. Ild join you on that beach with drinks in our hands Wave crashing the beach Sound of sea bird over head The smell of salt water Then a sunset walk hand in hand Lay on the sand as the moon rises My lips kiss your Your hands Touch my body As the sunrise we are full of sand have To run into the water to wash it Off our naked bodies Xoxoxoxooxox now have a wonderful day 😊  I made it to work and home safe and sound, and you're right. It's the other drivers who are the hazard. Ugh!

The weekend did go fast. Here's hoping he gets his meds soon, so you can stop worrying about that. I remember deployment anxiety. I was a military wife during Desert Shield and Storm.. Hang in there. Have you ever tried a float spa? I'm telling you, I love them when I'm super anxious. I've never heard of a float spa.... I'm going to have to look that up. It totally sounds like something I would want to do.

I really feel for your oldest son, as I've got problems with the veins in my lower legs which slows down the circulation. I have to wear compression knee length stockings every day. I hope you make it to that beach asap.
