What is normal part 2 #33

but there is another meaning
to the word normal
people see normal
as good or evil
people label normal
as right or wrong
this can be a gray area
defined by
judgement and prejudice
opinions and beliefs
or it can be crystal clear
defined by
morality

normal becomes
a judgment
of right and wrong
of good and bad

it can be an area
of indecision
of confusion
is homosexuality normal
should abortion be the normal thing to do
with an unwanted pregnancy
should imprisonment be the normal solution to
possession of marijuana
should it be normal
to imprison the mentally ill
or the drug addicted

then there is that
which is crystal clear
and should never be normal
crimes against children
crimes against humanity
genocide
slavery
murder
these are crystal clear lines
never to be accepted as normal

then there is that which
should always be normal
love
kindness
generosity
empathy
compassion
just to name a few
