The White House and congressional intelligence committees were briefed on the scope and threat of the coronavirus in January and February, but President Donald Trump has not stopped exports of key medical equipment – a move taken by at least 54 other countries so far. The data show how U.S. manufacturers stepped up production and cleared out inventory to supply protective medical equipment to China for weeks, even as the threat of the coronavirus became clear. The CDC reported its first case in the United States on Jan. 20. The bottom line for big business is all about the Benjamins, absent action to the contrary the rest is lip service. It was interesting to be part of a consumer panel where one of the automakers that rigged the emissions controls test so their dirty engines appeared to pass, was trying to find ways to NOT right the wrong, but find ways to divert attention by putting a BS spin on it, trying to find audience appeal by claiming they were wonderful in all sorts of irrelevant ways. Did you know we do this??? That?? Wonderful perhaps to bleeding hearts, but did not change the fact that they were liars and cheaters that could actually care less about anything but how to make the most money for the least effort.
