I think a small group...especially for a first time. A large group might help you to get lost though.

Love the larger group because you get to try everything on the menu more often. But love the intimacy of the small group. I'd take either or tho.

I've been in both types before but I prefer smaller by a long shot. In my opinion it's more comfortable to be in because when it comes to larger groups most people end up not participatin and they just watch or they leave early which can really take out the fun.

A small, intimate group of active people would be best IMHO. The key is to have a balance between men and women (or more women than men) for maximum fun.
