Caught on camera

A woman is seen tossing a bag of 7 newborn puppies into a bin .Caught on a surveillance camera getting out of her vehicle and walking to a trash bin then tossing the bag in and leaving Had it not been for a good Samaritan hearing the puppies crying , then rescuing them fishing the bag out of the bin and rushing them to a local rescue where they are being cared for by the staff..John...wishes to remain anonymous was whats referred to as " dumpster diving" after coming across the dumpster hearing the noises he immediately took them out to a local shelter...
This incident is one of many that happen every day and countless animals die of exposure either dehydrating or freezing to death ..This incident happened in California and the puppies are now at Riverside County Animal services, it happened in Coachella last Thursday at around 1 pm. The puppies were around three days old when this took place ..Since the incident the Animal services tracked the woman down and found countless animals living in deplorable conditions and are hoping to return the pups to the mother dog in hopes that she will begin to nurse them..
Animal cruelty charges are pending on more information being gathered as the investigation gathers momentum she is likely to be charged .Anyone to cruelly dispose or fail to care for an animal that they own has a moral obligation to be charged if failing to do so. .Law's are very specific ..level heads must prevail when Law Enforcement Officers face such a crime.. Information has to be gathered in stages and be very specific in order to proceed with charges..

I am sorry you have to see things like that truly am..Its common for people to cast away animals , but we don't see it happen which adds to the mystery of who did it and why did they do that ...I am not making excuses but its not all humans who do the things we think did that but naturally occurring circumstances.....the lady that did this was caught on camera which now isn't a mystery and good thing pups are all alive so the authorities can go ahead with charges...I too was a Law Enforcement Officer in service to the SPCA so I know all too well what it takes to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves ....I am sure its a heart tugging thing that you see....

not likely it will because in my experience the judge will be chosen carefully and in most cases that said judge will have been in similar cases and will be seen as fair and impartial...I was lucky to have a great Crown Attorney who could request any judge he desired and most times The Spca won out with lifetime bans on most of my cases.. most .Crown Attorneys dont care and it most generally comes down to whether she had kids or maybe she fell on hard times ...She may say she called rescues which failed to help her , I had a similar case like that ..said they contacted rescues when in fact phone calls were never made , according to the phone records...Its a fish barrel shoot anyones guess whether the penalty fitted the crime...first offences are very lenient ...

Yea I seen this on the news so sad, that lady could of just taken them to her local shelter instead of tossing them in the garbage. I tell you hun so many terrible things like this going on, last week someone tossed a puppy out of a moving car onto the highway. Thank god the puppy is okay and is now being adopted..Happy Hump Day hun I hope your day is very fulfilling..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

It is unfortunate that some, elect to act that way in life. Consideration for others and Compassion seems to be non existent for some people. A Real Human Being would never act in such a frivolous disrespectful manner!

Well as a former SPCA Officer I am afraid real human beings do this , humans do cruel acts every day and we sometimes don't have any idea and can never conceive why anyone would do such a thing but they do...these people seem and loom normal...but thiose who do are in desperate acts of confusion and not thinking clear..i am not making excuses for them ..yes they should be punished but judges are too lienent with whats considered by us as important ..we will never be able to reason and figure out why the human brain is supposed to be far advanced today ..lol it never is...

The charge should carry the same weight as "Attempted homicide with intent to kill"...

The charge of "Animal cruelty" is mild: "Cruelty to animals can be prosecuted as either a misdemeanor or felony with a fine up to $1000 and/or imprisonment up to 1 year. " ..... That seems too mild a punishment.

The woman should be prosecuted under "Attempting homicide". Life in prison, and paroled in 10 years.

But if she is going to be prosecuted under "Cruelty to animals"...she should have to pay $1000 for each puppy [$7000] , and serve one years for each puppy [total of 7 years in prison]... No parole.

Were I a Judge, I'd probably just have her dragged out and shot by a firing squad. .....I don't like people who are cruel to animals. Animals should be protected as any human is protected under law.

those statistics are in the United states, Canadian Judges look at it a bit different according to the laws ..They are different and should not be depending where you live..I have had people before the courts and got life time bans on them owning animals again..but what The Provincial Office determines the life time ban and takes charge of the Investigation the Officers are volunteers and they have to be the ones who re visit the offenders to make sure the justice is carried out whilst the head office heaps investigations on the officers who also work and have a home life...its not a good scenario..

thanks I only wish people would be more fully aware of all that goes on in their own neighborhoods get more involved have guts to stand behind what they say..people are gutless and scared of the consequences of squealing on what they see..will be always that way and will never stand up in court..the hardest part of an SPCA investigation is when the Officer tries to gather information and the complainant plays dumb..and wont give any testimony ..sad ppl have to be intimidated by bullies...
