Real Talk...

Real Talk... Somewhere between the intricately woven fabric of who we want to be lies who we really are. For some reason, being online or on a site such as this makes individuals lose their sense of self and turn into something resembling a Mr. Hyde type caricature of themselves that they then pitch to any person they come into contact with who may be a living breathing creature. In all of this, there are individuals who become angry at rejection (this is not new to you); there are also the ones who reject before being rejecting by regaling us with their sad stories or stories of sexual prowess that cannot be believed. There are the ones that say "your loss" ...you know the type...the sore losers. Then there are the ones that, despite anything you have written in your profile, will write and say..."I wondered if you would consider making an exception... In all, I have found some trace of desperate humanity that want to connect. It also makes me want to run and keep running in the other direction. I think...and obviously these are just the ramblings of a bored woman on a Sunday evening who has received too many of the above-listed approaches...I digress. I think that men would be much more successful here with the "real" women if they didn't come off looking like tools. I also think we could all stand a dose or two of reality and stop reaching above our heads to try to grab that high hanging fruit when there is plenty of average sized fruit right in front of your face. Then maybe there would be less griping about women not wanting to "play" (that is such a childish term) or have to tell desperate sad stories. Hey but then again, maybe that is part of the intrigue that comes with being here. Maybe men need women to feel sorry for them because that gets them off; or maybe they need to be angry and have a devil may care attitude because of fragile egos. I can tell you now that I have no real answer to this, but I definitely do have a lot of curiosities about it. |

Wow! Very insightful blog. I think most people into today’s society take on a different personality when behind the screen. Maybe it’s a more honest reflection of who they really are or maybe it’s just an opportunity to be an ass which is typically outside their character, or maybe there is a multitude of reasons. Which ever it may be, for those people I think they lessen their chances of success and then want to blame someone else for their failure, much like in the real world,I guess. I try to be my self, I’m not here to bash people, but to make friends and maybe more, but I know that will seldom happen if I’m an ass when I don’t get my way. Just my two cents worth,
