Stuff Happens... When Squirrels Get Involved...😕 Preparing for stuff to happen ; we do it all our lives, right? Preparing for school, preparing for work, for dinner, for an exam... for the right opportunity. We even prepare for death. That summer (many years ago), I prepared to go to Scout camp. I assigned my parents one duty, while I was away ; take care of my little and my tiny turtle. That's... all I wanted. Guess what? When I came back from camp, I realized something was strange. My hadn't come to the door to greet me. I asked my parents to explain. Mom suddenly blurted out ; "Your is dead." I was shocked and devastated. "How can you just say that Mom? You can't just blurt stuff like that out. Ya have to prepare me! You coulda said ; '... your was playing in the yard, chasing a squirrel, when he ran out into the street... and got hit a car'. Well Mom? Ya coulda said something like that. Prepared me... you know? I looked at mom and dad sadly. Dad looked at mom, then at me... and spoke... "... your turtle was playing in the yard, chasing a squirrel...." I wasn't pleased with my parents' ability to follow simple directions and keep gates and cages locked. Several months later, my parents walked into my room and began a sentence ; "... your grandmother was playing in the yard... " I didn't have to hear much more. I knew Granny got hit a car, while chasing a squirrel. But at least I was prepared. And who doesn't want to be prepared - you know what I mean? We're never prepared for many things in life. Other things we are! Prepared for that dinner party? Prepared for that parking ticket? I am so sorry my friend I agree with you they should of prepared you and not saying they were playing in the yard and then chasing a squirrel and running into the street. I am so sorry you lost your pets, its so sad when that happens to young children as they are truly devastated by the loss of their pets. I had to find my pet rabbit killed in it's cage by some wild and crazy dogs, I was devastated, as Spice ( that was his name) was house trained and I loved that Rabbit so much. I think we should always prepare our children for loss, its one of the hardest things they go through. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day..  Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

You can never really prepare for the loss of a beloved pet or relative. Even though they may be older or ill, we want them to live for ever. When they pass, it reminds us of our own mortality.Life is too short....being spontaneous is the kind of surprise that I enjoy. I am preparing for my upcoming mini trip to New England with my best friend!

They sang me Happy Birthday at work, with a cake... a few times. Those moments, caught me off guard. Not much of a surprise, I guess. My wedding 💒 was a surprise. Never thought THAT would happen with her. What about surprised by something your kids did? I like good surprises. Not the bad ones. I'm always making lists, preparing for the next day and all of the things that need doing. This week, I'm preparing some pottery for the glaze kiln, and getting the sewing room prepared to do some sewing soon.  Pretty soon, I'm going to need to start planning for Christmas!! My career job was detailed oriented and structured. It’s why I enjoy being spontaneous, doing what I want, when I want. I am taking an escorted bus 🚌 tour through New England, staying in Connecticut and visiting Rhode Island. Oooo... Book clubs. I love book clubs... So? Whatcha reading? 🤔 Do you serve alcohol or other hallucinogens? Ya know... some people think they sound smarter, after a drink or two. And if they imbibe in the flowery flames of that other substance... they really get witty? Do you ever experience that? 🤔 Of course we drink the stereotyped ladies' drink, wine. Everyone is pretty moderate, trying to be responsible drivers and such, so I haven't noticed any alcohol induced bloviating. As for that other substance...I tend to think it makes me stupid. But in an enjoyable way!

Yes that's a sad thing when you find out a pet has passed away.
