 My favorite 'sandwich' filling is a sweet pussy!! Unfortunately, the bread is a bit difficult, so I most frequently eat the filling without the bread, which rather negates the 'sandwich' aspect!
But the singular pussy is always a delightful repast!!

 yo, im from phiily, sooo . . .

many from here will champion the philly cheesesteak,
and rightfully so.
i suggest you goggle it for details and recipes (and variations).

for me (and many others here), its the italian hoagie

ham, genoa salami, capricolla (or prosciutto), provolone,
shredded lettuce, sliced onions and tomatoes, hot or sweet peppers,
sprinkled with evoo and red wine vinegar, black pepper and oregano.

good at room temp OR lightly toasted under the broiler for a "grinder".
YUM !

damn, now i want one and there are thunderstorms in the area.

guess what im gonna have for lunch tomorrow ? !

Hi Thik...you commented on a previous blog about missing a buffet which made me salivate...you have again not disappointed...I've herad of the legendary philly cheese steak but have yet to indulge ...the Italian hogie sounds a delight I'm off to the kitchen!

 i like turkey.....cheese mayo mustard onions pickles tomatoes and a dark green lettuce , none of that iceberg stuff. Usually on a hearty whole grain bread . Good stuff ~~

 Ham , turkey ,roast beef are my top three so many more I east many sandwiches. Even still peanut butter and jelly fillls my belly.
