At the gas station

I was filling up at the pump this week and a young gal (18-20 , blonde, attractive, provocative clothing) and her friend were on the other side of the pump. They were laughing and giggling and I overheard one of them say that she had never washed a windshield before. She was kind of worried about how to do it. I chimed in and asked if she wanted me to show her. She said, "Sure," so this is what I did.

I walked to the tank with the squeegees and instructed her. "Be a bit choosy about the tool you want to put in your hand. You might be tempted to grab the longest one but sometimes the normal size will do the job better. Get a nice grip but not too tight." She blushed.

I walked to the driver's side and said, "I like to take a thoughtful look to see if any particular spot needs lots of attention. I kind of rub the tool around a few places to see how it responds. Then I use long, slow strokes across the bottom, moving my way to the top. I try not to miss any spot because you can't always tell where the tool should go." She giggled. Her friend's mouth dropped open.

"I continue moving the tool up and down and up and down and up and down until I think just about done. I repeat my technique, hoping that I improve with each stroke. Then I wipe the surface to make it gleam. When I hear squeaking, I know that I've achieved my ultimate purpose. " By this time, she was smiling widely and shaking her wrists in amazement.

"Then I step back to admire what I was able to accomplish and ask whether I missed anything or whether they had any feedback to make the experience more enjoyable. Then I do it again incorporating their feedback."

I put the tool back in the tank, walked over to my car, and drove away. I saw both of them starring at each other with gaping smiles that said, "I can't believe that just happened--but I loved every minute."

Yeah, it kind of made my day too.
