Have we forgotten Gilroy already?

Yesterday, I got an email from a state representative whose mailing list I'm on. In it, among other things, he mentioned the shootings in El Paso and Dayton. There has been talk of that, and I've even seen those two cities mentioned here. But what about the shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Gilroy? Three people died because of that shooter, and even the state representative within my own state didn't bother to mention Gilroy along with El Paso and Dayton.

So even if he can't be bothered to mention Gilroy, I can. The shooter killed himself but still, three innocent people died because of him, and many more are traumatized, including three who happened to be at the Las Vegas event where there was a man sniping at the crowd from his hotel room. We remember that too, I hope. Although it has been two years. But for Gilroy, only two weeks. So let's keep Gilroy in our thoughts for a little bit longer.

Okay, looks like my post still has all its words so this is just the magic comment.

I haven't forgotten Gilroy. If I was a legislator I'd try to get a law that only single shot guns could be bought and sold..

Glad you remember. Wish the legislator had remembered to mention Gilroy in that email.

No hun we haven't forgotten GILROY at all as we never will be able to forget what happened that dreadful day. You know we have a couple where I am following people from town to town. They are a white couple and the man is wearing a Red MAGA hat, and they drive a white car.

They are apparently following Hispanics and other races here, the man uses his fingers to make a gun shooting sign at the numerous non white members of the community. One of the Hispanic ladies called the police when she got to her destination, and the police informed her that they have had numerous calls about the same kinds of things going on towards other community members. It's so sad, I truly hope there isn't any more shootings.

I hope you have a great weekend hun..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

Well, shit, that is scary. I hope they're stopped before those two start firing away. We have to take these warning signs more seriously.

i feel for you and the victims and their families and friends

yes, we as a nation have become numb to

any but the BIGGEST headlines, even as (someones) supports

decry it all as "fake news".

i fear that not even another 911 would wake us up and shake us up.

in fact, i fear the 911 legacy is ALSO partly to blame.

along with our flag-waving, after 911 we came to believe that it was okay

to HATE "certain" people.

as years went by and the flag-waving became stale,

since we felt it was okay to hate "certain" people, our scope of

who ELSE we could hate grew exponenetially.

when history has its say, im afraid that it will show that in the long run

the 911 terrorists won. we decry the shootings,

but no one addresses the divisiveness and hatreds that led to them.

now, lets all go out and get laid on a saturday night,

before politicians and dictators reduce the earth to a burnt cinder

which the 1% will still manage to survive on,

along with their fellow cockroaches.

in the mood for some saturday night hanky-panky?

yeah, me neither now,.

wish i had some answers, do any of you?

lets see what tomorrow brings, IF there IS a tomporrow

"well only get through this if we work together. if we dont, none of us will"

pretty surreal when it's in your backyard!

when I drive through Gilroy, I see banners with hashtag GilroyStrong, on the sides of the road.

It is surreal, and heart-breaking.

It certainly ruined a great festival.Sadly enough it
Seems it's better ratings the higher the body count.
All the press does is glorify these events kind
of like all these shooters. wanted to do themselves Sadly
the numbers are just there
to encourage the next next wack
job to try and do better.

Offer a million dollar reward to anyone that
knows someone on the verge!

Using more than all the road!

Like that grandmother who warned the authorities about what her grandson was up to? We should all follow her example; it's a great start.

and now i see an article that the nra is planning a

"self-defense" show and guess where? in texas.

at least in fort worth, not el paso.

BUT . . .

unless you stand to make a profit from guns,

i cant see how anyone can suggest the answer to TOO MANY guns

is for there to be EVEN MORE guns.
