All right. We got one voter choosing Osaka, and another voter choosing Hiroshima. We still don't have votes for Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagoya, Yokohama, Kobe, Sapporo, and Kanazawa. (The first two are the most popular destinations in Japan. Kobe has the best beef in Japan, while Sapporo is known for having great beer in Japan.) What is unusual is both Osaka and Hiroshima are famous for okonomiyaki, a savory food that is pretty much one of the main staples for both cities. However, both cities have different styles of okonomiyaki, which means the preparations and ingredients in both cities are different. John Daub, a Youtuber who run the YouTube channel called "Only in Japan" and also has been married to a local Japanese woman since April 20th, 2018, posted a video on the differences between Osaka-style okonomiyaki and Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. The title of this video is called "Osaka vs Hiroshima Okonomiyaki | Which one is better?" Please watch this video if you are interested in Japanese food, especially if you are a big fan of okonomiyaki. Go to YouTube and type "osaka vs hiroshima okonomiyaki which one is better" on the search box and, most likely, the video I mentioned is at the top of the search result. Alternatively, type "Only in Japan" on the search box, click on "Only in Japan" and click on the word "VIDEO" and you will find plenty of video clips he has posted, including the video called "Osaka vs Hiroshima Okonomiyaki | Which one is better?". i am from yokohama, i love our area...it's good for shopping and some historical place we can visit too. i love China Town, Kamakura, and the beaches are the area.

Although I have never been to Japan before, there is one place I really want to go before I die, and that is the city called Aomori City in Aomori Prefecture. There are two reason for choosing this destination. One, it is famous for the super exciting summer festival called Nebuta festival, which involved with giant floats, which are made with Japanese paper, metal wires and wood, parading the streets of Aomori City. Aside from floats, there will be thousands of people watching, plus thousands more people dancing and shouting with full vigor and enthusiasm. The great thing about this festival is it involves with mass participation of locals and visitors from other prefectures of Japan and other countries. So that means even tourists can join in the fun. However, if you want to dance and shout, you need to rent a haneto costume so you can actually participate in the designated path of the actual parade where the floats are being paraded. All you have to do is walk and jump and shout "Rassera, rassera!" "Rasse rasse rassera!", plus be excited, and you'll have great time there. Two, during winter season, this city gets a lot more snow than other cities of Japan, which means it is a true winter wonderland of Japan. It means you can get to see snow monsters that are standing on Hakkoda Mountains, where most part of this mountain is under the jurisdiction of Aomori City. You take a bus from Aomori train station or Shin-Aomori train station and go to Sanroku Ropeway station, where there is a ropeway that will take you up to the top of one of the peaks of Hakkoda Mountains. If you go there just after the place got the heavy snow, the landscape of this mountainous area is absolutely spectacular!! The mountains are all covered in pure white snow, and the trees that once appear on these mountains during spring, summer, and autumn seasons resemble unusual humans standing on the mountains, which is why they are called snow monsters. If you are feeling tired, stressed, or cold, try going to hot springs to warm you up, plus you will feel relaxed. One of the places you can go to is called Sukayu Onsen (Sukayu means sour hot water, while onsen is the Japanese word for hot spring), which is famous for slightly acidic water due to the presence of sulfur, and that helps sooth tiredness, burns, back pain, and many other ailments. You can go there for a day visit. However, if you want a full experience at Sukayu Onsen, you should reserve a room at a ryokan (Japanese-style lodging house) also called Sukayu Onsen. Once you arrive there, you'll have the opportunity to soak yourself in this hot spring water during evening, which will help you sleep better. I hope I can go to Aomori City when I have a chance in the future.
