Flirts and Hotlists
So I have noticed that flirts that I receive and being placed on hotlists, that I usually get more activity from women out of my geographic region and much younger than I am. Seems very unlikely to me. My phone has a search feature that will search for photos. So based on this search, it looks like some of these profiles are fake. Not really a surprise . Seems like another marketing tool to stroke my ego and entice me to stay around or better yet to upgrade. What’s been your experience here?

 Many of my flirts have been local, or at least from someone in California. But I've gotten flirts from the other side of the world. I figure they're just hoping I'll be interested too. So far, there hasn't been a flirt whom I wanted to flirt with in return.

I think hotlisting is useful. It makes it easier to find someone you'd like to talk with later, in case you ran out of messages for the day or you were just signing off. In both cases, I suspect most of them were real. I think scammers going after women have a different angle--they IM you with some kind of sob story. I think. The scammers most likely focus on male profiles because there are so many more of them, thus a better return.

As a non paying membet my expectations are not very high with the web site. As you know the site is here to make money. So there seems to be a number of fake contacts out there ( built in to get you to want more). The site let me chat to this one contact for a few back and forth emails, at some point the site cut off that contact even though the other member had paid to be able to exchange emails. I believe this was another attempt to get me to move to gold. This is more recreational for me. If I am lucky enough to meet some people and connect with them. That will be great. We all just have to filter out those fakes, flakes and pic collectors.

I like your point about hot listing. It provides a bookmark of people you may have thought might be interesting or the other application is to hotlist someone with friends and then hit their friends button . That way you can see what type of friends they have, they like. It can also help you define the more active members ( that could be good or bad based on how you look at that). Lots of ways to go. Hopefully we all want to meet a compatible contact ( man , woman. couple ) have some fun and perhaps make some friends.

Thanks for your thoughts on the subject. So there are at least a few real people out there that use flirts and the friend request features. Good to know.

Then it is a program that is designed to not even be good at interactions ... if you happen to get the IMs too. It is all phishing to get you off site onto a site that will hit you up for credit card before you can do anything else. Been this way for years ...and if you look into the history of programs that mimic humans in basic conversation it goes all the way back to the late 60s.

    As soon as you reply in a way that makes them have to do anything orginal ... like answer a personal question ... that shows. Plus if you don't ever send money or even pay here ---you still get them. They spam the members here.
