 I try to post comments on their pictures, but it's never-ending. It's pretty sad when a dozen men all comment "oh baby you're so hot and beautiful let me buy you dinner" to some obviously fake profile.

 I know how to spot most fakes, based not on only photos, but on literary prose, or lack thereof. At this point in time, I take it in stride and try not to waste too much time or energy on the fakes.

 They are fairly east to spot, but are getting a bit more clever now in their tactics. Also, if you're a member of the Book of Faces, they now have infiltrated on there. I've had friends' profiles be spoofed, as well as my own.

"Spoofing" is when your profile is copied, usually by a scammer with a foreign email (of course), who then will spam your friends and family in your lists. They might or might not copy your photos and everything else that would trip up your friends, but the most common thing they do is generate another profile in "your name".

If this has happened to you before (as it did to me), the best thing I've found is to change your log in password and reset your security on your FB to the highest setting. Also, you can change friend requests preferences to the highest setting, the one where you have to view the requestor's profile first before accepting their request.

It takes a bit of patience and investigative work to find the "real ones", but they are here.
