Emergence, Part 2 It has been a long while since I have chatted here, but since the world is opening up, I might as well too. We have been keeping a low profile after all the crazy stirred up last spring. Hind sight, the world shutting down gave me time to process and start to move on. If you do not know what I am talking about, then you should read my previous blog. Have been chatting online and texting with new connections helped us keep a finger on the swing pulse while in isolation. Finally, after what felt like forever, we went to our first house party hosted by the group we joined when we first became members. Running into an acquaintance was great. Helped relieve the tension and nerves. It was nice seeing people again that were not hidden behind a mask and hearing voices in direct response to questions. And oddly enough, got to meet a new couple with the same last name as ours (lol). We started meet and greets with new couples for dinner. Was so wonderful to be social and getting out again. I really enjoy getting to know folks. After being closed off for a year, it felt like being shoved back into the closet. But now the door is cracked open and I am slowly getting back into the swing of things. |
